Thread: Rifleman nerfed in todays patch?

I heard many rumors that our specials deal noticably less damage...HeadShots and MindShots.


Can anyone confirm this?

Tested Head1-3, all delays, costs, and max damages are the same.

Agree with the above poster. I took logs if you want them. Possably gun specific? What guns are you using?

Hope the devs read this post. Rifles are supposed to be more accurate than pistols. Your supposed to be able to kill a lot ofmobs and npc's with 2or 3 shots bacause if you dont they will run up to you and get inclose combat then your rifle is useless anyway. This needs to be fixed, its messed up that a pistol at max range is like 50% more accurate now than a rifle at max range,not to mention the realy good pistolsdo almost as muchdamage per second as rifles and dont have themega negitivedamage modifires for close range. I'mseriously considering picking back up on the Pistoleer tree again.

All of these updates are really getting on my nerves. I have been playing the game for four weeks, have advanced a little over halfway up the rifleman's tree, and now I am missing shots that there is no way in god's name that I should be using while using the AIM function.


Why is SOE playing with our heads. These updates are killing the game for me.


All I have to say is I can wait for Worlds of Warcraft to come out. I be Blizzard wont be as **edit** as SOE has been since the release of this game.


I feel no that I am wasting my time with my profession. It just doesnt seem justified to me that they should nerf our profession like they have. I cant even get a clean shot anymore, and I was tearing it up with my laser rifle too...

As I posted in the other forum, with my T21 damage and cost is exactly the same as it was yesterday for me. I do feel I'm missing more often but no solid data on that..

What are you testing on? Creatures, NPCs, or PCs?


They might only effect "people"...meaning none creatures.

I was gonig to mentio nthat. I didnt test on a player yet. Extremely hard to test damage on a player. sicne we do mind. I am going to test it today though. Honestly if they decreased damage on palyers for all classes, its fine by me. But for NPCs or Creatures, thats just wrong. PvP is one shot or nothing, and if they decreased damage for PvP, im glad they woke up and realized that everyone was one shotting each other.

As a correspondant, dont you have some sort of voice in the way they update the rifleman class in this game? I would think that if you said something to SOE they would at least have to listen to YOU. I dont mean to put you on the spot or anything, but honestly... I am not having much fun anymore.

So did you test on both Creatures and NPCs?

Patches take time, and certain things they dont think would be a good idea or will not work with there system. But I did mention reducing PvP damage, but not PvE damage, if they did that then yes they listened. If you didnt notice, the major patch just got put on the test center, so things take time.

My mistake, I though I said it creatures, not NPCs or Players. Trying to find a pac of desert deamons to test on, then going to ask a friend to log on to test on him.
