Well im Master Rifleman and i pk a lot. Im trying to find a good combo. I was going to try Wep smith but no way dont have the patience is there any classes that mix well with rifleman? I have some medic but until medics can heal Mind i dont really need it that bad. I dont really need a Melee skill because whats the point? i Oneshot 90% of my victims. I guess im looking for a good combo class or ill just pick up a meolee skill for fun i guess. BTw i already thought about Master CH but they nerfing CH over and over not sure if its worth it either.

im trying to become master rifle as well..have only sniping I now. But a second profession for you (as well as me) is either squad leader (of u have the scouting xp) or entertainer. Entertainers heal mind so that will help all of the riflemen out there. Thats what i am going to become...rifleman/squad leader/ musician (only novice with mastering wound healing) Also another question..howd u get all the xp needed for master rifle?

For PvP I would look at Swordman.

Main keey is Heavy Swordsman have mind attacks also.

thats what I plan on, Master Rifleman, some CH, some Swordsman.

I'm a Mastermarksman now with Novice Pistoler filled. Eventualy I'll surender Mastermarksman all the carbine and might even drop all the Pistoler for skills, but I'll do that way down the road to see how things blanace out.

I would advise AGAINST becoming a Rifleman/Squad Leader. That's what I am... and wow was it a bad choice.

First of all... SLs are completely worthless at the moment. The skills are broken or waaaaay underpowered. The way SL exp is gained is completely idiotic (it works by the damage YOU do, not the group). And the 2 SL skills that DO seem to work are usually asked by the group for you NOT to do! (Rally prohibits sitting/crafting/healing wounds etc ... and Boost Morale spreads wounds across the WHOLE group making the docs have to tend everyone instead of one person).

But to add on to that, both Rifleman and SL primarilyuse Mind pool for their specials... and the costs for the SL skills is absolutely outrageous for VERY little benefit (debateable if there is ANY). So you see, having your mind go down at least 1/3rd for each meaningless SL skill (whether it works or NOT) added on top of your other Rifle special shots means your Mind pool will drop faster than a Kerry Wood split-finger. DON'T TRY THIS. The only reason I'm sticking with it is that I'm far too far along to stop now... I don't have the resolve to start over.

Fluke I laughed reading your post . I really am sorry about the SL bugs and broken aspects of the profession , with the broken Rifleman skills on top of it ?? Woah momma that's a train wreck of a template . I hear ya on not wanting to start over , too . Who would ? Takes sooo long to grind up those skill trees .

My main question to you is ... what the hell is a split finger cherry wood or whatever that is lol . I'm dying of curiosity .

hehe

Kerry Wood is a pitcher in major league fastball... he has a really nasty split-finger fastball that drops straight down at the plate.

I think Chef couples pretty well with rifleman, at least that's what I'm doing.

At first I was doing Rifleman/Ranger. Well I was pretty upset at the lack of abilities with Ranger once I got in, so I decided to leave. What I'll end up with now is the following:

Master Rifleman
Master Creature Handler
Ranged Weapons Support I-IV
Novice Medic with:

  • Organics I-III

  • Pharmacology I-IV (allows me to use Stimpack C's)

This leaves me with 0 skill points. So in a way it works out nicely (although I wish I could have Organics IV as well).

no one has mentioned this, but i was thinking that rifleman/bounty hunter wound be a good mix. you could definitely raise some hell.

Well, you only have 33 points after BH, so you at most can get 4 in one line and 3 in another. IMHO I'd go something else with BH besides rifleman.

i agree with jedi master carlito. CH is an exellent complementary class for master rifleman. Three good creatures to guard you up close is quite reassuring i think and is a good deterrant for would-be melee fighters
