Thread: A simple macro that will save snipers when rushed by someone
Ok, this is something I put together because it's a pain to play finger gymnastics when you're rushed by something while prone with a rifle, frankly i think we have a hard enough time fighting at close range without also taking a x6 damage hi from a melee fighter that got too close before we could stand up and switch weapons.
Some of you might already have something like this but just incase I figured I'd share it with you. Make sure you have a double hotkey bar for starters, this is because you need to have the weapon you're about to switch to somewhere on the hotkey bar which is up at the moment. Myself I have my pistol on the first slot of the second row. I'll assume you folks know how to create a macro so I'll get on with it.
/ui action toolbarSlot12;/stand;/peace
This will instantly switch to your weapon in the Slot12 of the hotkey bar as well as make you stand up and the peace will clear your current combat que allowing you to instantly choose an attack for the current weapon. I personally have pistol attacks on the Shift+F2 hotkey back and rifles on Shift+F3. I haven't come across the command to switch between the hotkey bars yet but then again I've not looked very hard
Needless to say you need to make sure that the hotkey for this macro is within easy reach so the second something is getting too close you jab at it and save yourself from a nasty x6 damage hit.
Thanks for the info Tal , was looking for a way to free up some space on my bars .
Good hunting
Jon
Thats a pritty cool macro, I'm having some problems tho, can ya all help?
The "/ui Action ToolbarPane 00-06" dose not work, it's not rolling to other toll bat stes. More detail on that?
I'm not sure if it's buggy or not but I have to put in slot 10 to get 11 to work and 11 to get 1`2 to work? I can't get lower than 10... goofy as heck?
What I want is a macro that Gets up, Peace, swaps to a sword then shifts the hot keys to my sword page. Wich is #2 double stacked.
/ui action toolbarPane00 (for toolbar 1, 01 for 2, etc)
You only capitalize the P.
