Thread: Loot difference between SMC and NS?

It seems to me that my rifleman could be much better at hunting singing mountain clan NPCs than NS due to the fact that far fewer of them have 100% resist to energy. also the singing mountain clan elder(councilwoman)" has 20% resist to energy instead of the regular elder's 30%.
has anyone noticed a difference between the loot of them? if not then maybe it's time to swaer off NS for a mountain diet.

So where do you find regular spawns of SMC? I've gone looking for them at the other POIs but havent found them in the numbers that NS spawn in.

For me SMC seem to drop a little higher quality loot. Maybe it's jsut me but thats what it seems. Also SMC hit harder and are more difficult to take down. Just my opinion.

SMC are easier overall then NS in that no one of them is invulnerable to our weapons

The only real difference between Elder and Councilwoman drops, or NS/SMC drops in general, is SMC dont drop Nightsister Lances. That makes it so you loot heavy leather and clasps more often, aswell as long vibro axes, which means there's the possibility of missing out on nice dot NS Lances, other than that they're exactly the same.

half my my time in 2004 was on dath and never saw 1 councilwoman =(

I ran into an SMC councilwoman yesterday. She was pretty easy to conceal. Didnt get a bleed until she had 16k health left. Then i switched toss2 and she was dead before she reached me. She gave a premium crystal.

any idea of how i would do against, NS/SMC??
i am Master doctor/Rifleman 2-0-2-1
gonna start grinding rifles now, once i hit master, could i do well against these???
would i do better using my jedi?

the two differences ive noticed with SMC and NS is 1) NS spawn more and in more areas SMC usually spawn to the north of the map
and 2) SMC especially councilwomen hit with a nasty bleed, dont get me wrond and elder can kill you with a bleed but the other day i got hit with a 2k UNIVERSAL bleed it kinda tickled

HuntedSMS Huntress (14k HAM AF 1 / 30% everything) ,a few days ago, found a spot where 5 of them standing in a circle. I concealshooted all 5 death the next wave was spawning, after i get them to solospawn i used HS3 and killed them without ever getting touched. They drop Pikeweapons like crazy and in about 20 minutes i looted 2 good clear crystals.
