Yes, if you are comparing it against other combat profs. All depends on what you do really.

I could usually max out on rifle xp nearly as quickly as I maxed on swords.

Camping spawns is lame? Oh and IMP griefers/gankers that come out to kill grinders not prepared for a fight who are teffed isnt? Ya I guess coming out for an easy kill to boost your PVP rating is ok ehh? When I need to grind I need to grind, I cant be running all over the galaxy and get my XP in weeks that can take just a few days sorry. I see nothing wrong with killing ST's that constantly spawn after you loot em.

If you sit there and kill ST's then you should be prepared to defend yourself(and expect to have to) definitely should not be done afk.If I was an imperial and I saw a rebel afk killing st's I would declare come back and kill you. You know if you declare first and you are at the keyboard then you can see the overts coming and take up a defensive position or just get out of there. On the other hand if 5 imperials go there to kill you when you are by yourself that is just as lame.

Gets on soapbox........

You knowingly got a teff........

Somebody killed you......

No FREAKIN SH!T. If you kill imperial or rebel NPC's you have volentarily submitted to PvP. end of story. Don't give me that I was just griding FS xp. That's double the reasosn to kill you, so you won't use that xp to become a jedi, and slaughter us non FS types. Seems to me the guy who did it was doing all of us non jedi a favor by killing you. I would say more, but I would be forum banned for it.

I've had imps try to tell me its an exploit, its a bugged spawn etc etc. The bottom line is if it was such a problem and not intended to be used as such I'm sure the Devs would have fixed it by now and/or gotten rid of it.

Heres the simple truth I go out there to grind, I dont grief the imps who grind and farm the rebs at the base in the middle. So ya when people tell me I'm wrong for killing the ST's it annoys me sorry.

Oh and call it what you want all I know is I ground up all my FS XP there in a matter of weeks where it takes fools running around months. Do what you will.

Kill the imps who are farming the base - it is not griefing to attack enemy troops especially if they are doing overt actions against your faction. Theyhave to be willingto die if you can kill them as well (of course - you may die). The spawns are not bugged.. but if you engage enemy troops expect to get engaged by enemy troops is all I am saying. If you are killing rebel NPC's it is part of the game that I an overt imperial can kill you - and I will if I can (I fail about 30% of the time in pvp...) Engaging in Galactic Civil War activity means you accept the possibleconsequences.

It is fair to quick compared to most professions - currently the champ for fs experience is of course commando and the grenade thing. Work at killing spawns on endor and places like that and you will cap your experience in no time flat.

When you are heading back from the village kill everything that moves and where ever you hunt... kill everything that moves as well ^_^ you'll cap very quick. As others in this thread have said you can do it as short as 45 mins... and can take as long as a few hours depending on where you are hunting and your luck with wild spawns. (wild spawns give better experience overall)

Extremely easy all 1 needs to do is use a macro running strafeshot 2 with a loot in the macro at the imp spawn on coriella. I cap Rifles and combat in an hour. Hows that for fast?

Master Rifle is wonderful for grinding FS xp if you do not want to go "Grenades".

I have half a box left to finish, and I did it all with rifles.

The other poster was correct in that you can expect to cap rifle xp twice in one 3-hour buff session.

Everyone has their favorite place to hunt to cap. I hunt on Endor, usually out of the Smugglers outpost. It takes me about 55 minutes to cap, usually. But you will have good days and bad days. Examples:

-- I found one area last night where there were THREE nests of 5K critters within rifle shot without me having to move one inch, and several other nests about 100m away. Igot over 500K rifle xp in about 17-20 minutes.

-- Sunday I went to three of my favorite locations to hunt and couldn't find a friggin' nest anywhere. I changed planets and that didnt help. I dont know what the problem was, but it took me almost an hour and 45 mins to cap. I was pizzed.

Both those are extreme examples. Like I said, expect maybe 50 - 75 minutes to cap on a normal day.

Add in about 3 minutes flight time (I don't have JTL), plus 16 minutes to get to the village and back and you can figure 1.5 hours spent capping and turning it in. So twice in three hours.
