Thread: take cover bugged?
I've had both of those bugs happen to me within the past couple days. I don't think they're related.
The warping bug happens when I go prone and then /aim (on rare occasions, /prone alone will do it), and it warps me not backwards but to whatever spot I was in about ten seconds previously (which usually happens to be backwards, though not always). It's extremely annoying. /kneel doesn't seem to trigger the warp.
The slowed movement bug is quite nasty, as doing a fast relog immobilizes you completely. You have to log out for a good ten minutes or so to get rid of it. I think it is /takecover that is causing it somehow.
I hope they fix both of these soon.
Yes, the slowness is really ticking me off. The problem is I take cover, shoot, stand, move like a snail, get incap'ed, get slain, popup cloning terminal and can't move.. grr...
I haven't been hit by the take cover thing more than once , but something that happens to me nightly and SEVERAL DOZEN times a night is the rubberbanding or " warping " you mention .
I run out to range ( 60m ) and then go into prone . Suddenly , I am teleported either 20m further away from my target or 20m CLOSER to my target . Sometimes it happens right away , sometimes it happens after I fire my opening shot . Sometimes it does not happen .
EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING DEVS and needs fixing asap .
When I get teleported away I have to stand up , run back into range and reprone again and hope I don't get teleported AGAIN .
When I get teleported TO the target , where I hunt it's sometimes certain death .
Happening NIGHTLY SEVERAL DOZEN TIMES TO ME > FIX PLEASE

This has begun happening to me too. The other night I was taking on a Rebel Generals camp, I blasted a couple of NPC's then run about 90m away to set up a camp to heal... the next thing I know I'm warped to about 20m from the NPC camp (which I had been about 5 minutes earlier) got killed.
The other annoying thing is the **edit** lag. A creature is 60m away... I take the headshot and then they are instantly on top of me.... It's emabarassing to find a kaadu on top of me beating the crap out of me.

Yes the lag is very anoying, got killed many time cause of that. One thing I notice, is that it's usally happen not long after the created/NPC has spawn. Doesn't seem to happen to already spawn creature/NPC.
I also reported both of theese bugs...
The rubberband thing can also go on forever if I like...
If im running forward and go prone without standing still for a few sec. I will be warped back.
If I then run forward again and repeat... and so on and so forth... quite interesting... ![]()
The slowness seems to go away if I engagean other enemy.. sometimes...
I tried relogging the first time I got it and I also got imobile... really anoying...
I could still tumble and take cover though so its most likely my movement speed wich has gone down to zero.
