Yup, today I want you all to take a field test. Go get a handgun and shoot at a can from 500 yards away. Now go get a rifle with a magnified scope and shoot at it. In the real world, the can doesnt get touched by the handgun (unless you happen to be one hell of a crackshot, unlikely), and the rifle, will most likely hit the can. Now log onto starwars, pretend the can is an enemy player. Odd, is it just me or did that pistol hit me every, single time from 64 meters? I think the devs need to go out and try my experiment, if you all managed to do better with the handgun I wont say anything more. Feel free to comment below.

I've actually shot silhouettes at 400 yards with my SA Ruger .44. It's not as hard as it sounds, though at that distance it's more like lobbing artillery shells than actually shooting -- you can't aim straight at it, the handgun rounds drop dramatically before they get there. Not really applicable to the in-game guns, since those fire lasers, and lasers aren't effected by gravity. ![]()
(Though sticking with your post, we're talking 64 yards here, not 500. It's not hard to hit something at 64 yards with a handgun.)
But yes, in the name of game balance, pistol accuracy at 64 yards should be severely lessened.
(Oh, and completely off topic: Why do you double the t at the end of ferret? Hehe..)
