Thread: Weapon stats, Rifles the worst?

I'm still cranking away on Rifleman xp, no where near master yet. Anyways, when shopping for a new laser (in case repair made mine go poof) I humored myself by looking at the details of a flamethrower. I'm perplexed, but maybe it's justifiable? A flamethrower had a min damage of over 400 and a max of over 800. That's without any powerups.......can't tell for sure if it was or wasn't sliced. Wanna guess the max range on it too? I completely agree the total damage of a flamethrower should mess you up badly........but over time from burning. The initial hit from the flamethrower should not be higher than that of say a T21. The T21 is SUPPOSED to be used to penetrate and destroy targets with heavy armor.......and make swiss cheese out of lighter armor. Maybe it's eluding me, but how can a flamethrower have a higher MIN damage than the MAX damage of our highest level weapon? Does anyone else find that hard to believe?

Flame thrower styles can only be used 16m away from your target. Gives us a slight advantage, to be able to kill them before they get to us. Or Suppresion fire+dizzy. They cant get to us anymore, or kite them and we both miss continually forever


Also, not sure if its the flamethrower, but msot commando styles can onyl be used ocne every 15 seconds.

It is indeed a bit overpowered. There is no excuse for it... But even we aren't rendered crap by it as much as melee is. We still have range, which ALMOST still makes it wroth being a rifleman. What really really really doesn't make sense though... A rifle that's totally out of ammo can be a decent melee weapon but yet we take huge melee damage while heavy weapons, which by carrying WOULD actually make you more vulnerable to melee attack dont increase the damage you take at all. That's the biggest BS of all.

Rifleman are gimp atm, we lost the effective use of supprsion fire AND DIZZY!!! What most havent noticed is that dizzy no longer has a set time it lasts, it drops the first time the mob trys to get up.... Its a one time pass fail KD. IF it passes the guy drops on his back but gets RIGHT BACK up in 1 second... so keeping people out of melee range is next to impossible now =( So when commandos come running we go down like 1 dollar &^$#&*. I know its a littleoff topic but just responding to the fact that we cant stop melee much anymore without kiting which was also gimped....
