Thread: Does this happen to anybody else?

I was heading home to anchorhead after making a harvest run and I came across an Imp. I attacked him, but the majority of my shots wouldn't even fire. I was within 50m of him, but I kept getting the "out of range" message, and couldn't fire. Why is it that the supposed "long-range gunners" can't even use the PVP system in their own range?



If you're in need of resources on Radiant, take a visit to C&K. We have a well-stocked vendor full of resources, and it's all at 2cpu. Give us a visit on Tatooine (-371, -4948) right outside of Anchorhead. We also have a shop in the Helms Deep Mall in the Western Dune Sea!

Either a lag spike or server hiccup. I bet the other guy either didnt even see you ( he was somewhere else and being drawn in the range you saw him) or he couldn't shoot back either.

I have had this happend several times. Each time it was shortly after I hada rather large lag spike.

Was he running away from you? If so, it's probably the same issue that meleers have. A running player is always 10-20m ahead of where he looks like, so if he's 50m away and running, the server might see him as 65-70m away and say he's out of range.
