On the Dev chat on Thursday, I like it. At the time of posting this this thread has been in existance for 43 days, or just over 6 weeks. At the time of the Dev chat, it will be in existance for 45 days, or just under 6.5 weeks. And of course the number of replies is obvious and ever growing.

I'd put it like this.

"What is the Devs response to the 900+ post, 6+ week thread in the Discussion Forum about the problems in the Riflemen class?"

The link to the thread about this can be found here.

There is currently a whole slew of recent changes that need to be discussed, and the Devteam will be waiting on Stratics IRC this Thursday in order to answer your questions and concerns.

The Second SWGHoC will be held Thursday, October 23rd at 5:00 PM Pacific Time, in #swghoc on Stratics IRC.

Attending Developers:

Associate Producer J. "Blair" Brack
LucasArts Producer Haden "Shug_Ninx" Blackman
Art Director Jake "Ood_Bnar" Rodgers
Mount Systems Designer Reece "TThornton" Thornton

Show your support for the riflemen community by showing up and try to get our first reply from the Dev team!

Let's make this a competition. The person who gets this question up there with their name and a Dev answer wins. What do you win? The title and honor of doing something this gargantuous thread has yet to achieve.

Also, I'm still looking for volunteers to help the Riflemen problem, especially since the Dev Chat is not a guranteed solution. Look at my signature to directions.

Also, there was a request for IRC instructions/help, so here it is.

YYou got it. I'm not new to IRC, but darn it's been a looooong time, what with services like AIM, Y!, ICQ, and ultimately Trillian.

IRC stands for Internet Relay Chat, the earliest forms of IMs and chat rooms. It's not pretty, it's not public-friendly, but it's not hard to learn and you don't have to learn that much. They work by connecting to servers, which have multiple "chat rooms" within them (the #swghoc) So, here we go.

First off, get a chat program. I looked ar mIRC, but they want to charge you for it. BAH I say to them. Go here, instead. IceChat v5 at downloads.com It's a 2.67Mb file, download it and install it. It has a good intro to IRC if you want to use it, otherwise I'll give you want you need here.

Good, you now have IceChat, a IRC program. Launch that. It will require you to enter a server. Stratics lists a whole slew of them on their page (go here to read that) They are:
* irc.stratics.com, port 6667 (connects to a random server on our network)
* irc.frws.com, port 6667 (USA, Colorado)
* irc.epaxsys.net, ports 6667, 6668, 7000 (USA, Colorado)
* irc.glowfish.de, ports 6667, 6668, 7000 (EU, Germany)
* stratics.afraidyet.net, port 6667 (USA, Georgia)

I used irc.stratics.com and got through fine. Now, you've entered this into your list, click the green go button and you'll get the actual chat window. JUST BECAUSE YOU TYPED THAT IN DOESN'T MEAN YOU'RE CONNECTED. First make sure the stratics server is highlighted in the bottom right window, then go to the top tool bar, select MAIN:CONNECT and it will connect you. You're now in irc.stratics.com's server.

From here you must join a chat room. Do this by typing /join #(chatroom) where (chatroom) is the room you want. Stratics hosts a #starwars room 24/7/365 for people to talk in, and it's normally populated quite well.
The server you want when the chat is going on is #swghoc, which doesn't seem to allow chat right now, but will when they're on.
Thus you will want to type /join #swghoc

You're now in the chatroom. TO change you're name (to something more impressive than Guest0557) type /nick (newnickname), where (newnickname) is you're new desired nickname.

Now by typing in the bottom bar, and pressing ENTER (Return Car), you will chat.

Congratulations, and see you there.

I will be there. I am a novice rifleman that is tired of this profession being short sheeted by the devs. Hell our dev is off in lala land doing something else. We need our profession fixed. I will get off from work at 4 pm and my wife will have the comp and everything ready to go at 5pm. Look for Neveah Arogonis from the radiant server.

Make sure you know what time it's happening in your time zone. Nothing sucks more than to miss a chat because you added an hour instead of subtracting it. (I should know)

Sony's Time Converter

Either this thing rocks or I'm way too easily amused.
