What does this do?

Say there are 5 Pikets standing together. The higher this number, the more likely you can shoot one and have ONLY that one come after you. Which is rather pointless IMO, because by the time this number gets high enough to work effectively most Riflemen can handle 3 or 4 MOBs with their AOE shots.

It is nice at master against NPC's though.

Like the Pheonix, he shall rise from the fire
And be born a new.

Flames will rain down upon all that oppose him
And when the embers cool

None will be left standing.

no... mobs rush you, and you cant use AoE shots at close range (they all spread out around you).. and you cant shoot those 5 pickets all at once, only the targeted one will take damage, the other 4 will only attack after 3 rounds from the state changes (ie stun from flushingshot2)... then they start taking damage from the AoE cone. And the "handling 3 or 4 mobs" at the same time (assuming high level mobs) thing is flawed. Yeah they can handle them, but only after hitting themselves with enough buffs that the mission doesn't cover their cost.

That is why you Kite them to keep them together chasing you.

In my experiance it's only taken the first shot to initiate the conmbat to get them to attack. I've dropped Pickets that I haven't been targeting before they took 10 steps.

Ever heard of Musician and dancer buffs? If you make friends, these are often free and quite effective. And I used a bad example. At master you should be doing NPC missions, since they have a 25k payout and you can usually solo them without blinking or draining your mind to the bottom.

Because I like money? Because I have to pay for tickets all over the galaxy for PVP? Because I have to pay for armor, and my harvestors for my doc supplies? Because I enjoy going out with friends and doing things as a group?

harpoon ive already told you this on another thread. LET PEOPLE HUNT AT MASTER IF THEY WANT TO. its their 15$ a month and some people prefer hunting for fun as opposed to pointless and frustrating pvp.

As I understand it, concealment chance is your chance of not drawing aggro from social mobs around the mob you are attacking. So, you're unbuffed and hunting pickets. Concealment is your odds that just the 1 picket protector (red, aggressive cons) and not all 5 will attack you. Honestly, it's not all that useful. If you're in over your head, you're in over your head. If you're not, you don't really care if you draw aggro from the whole group. Tactics, e.g. drawing 1 away from the group, will work better than hoping for a chance at concealment to work.Concealment only applies to social/aggressive mobs, others e.g.regular pickets, will stand by and watch as you take down a neighbor 2 meters away. - my $.02

Confused about the whole hunting at master thing. Of course we're hunting at master. I just hunt bigger mobs. I'm more selective about what hide/bone/meat I'm gathering cause I want the money. If I can gather 50/meat per mob and that meat is worth 25cpu and I can kill 100 of this particular mob in an hour, I'm making decent money and I enjoy doing it. Plus, I often go hunting tohelpguildmates get xp, tolevel new pets and I have anall-aroundgood time hunting. BTW, you still have to "hunt" blurgs, raptors, rancors, krayts, kimogliasetc. They're just harder than average mobs.

What's hilarious is I'm overt 90% of the time. I PVP constantly, even with this new char that isn't to master yet. But doc resources are damn expensive and I actually have friends sooo. Oh yeah, did I mention that Hunting also includes helping friends gain XP with their Jedi?
