Thread: Missing in pvp
Is there some kind of food you can take to make you super hard to hit? Maybe some sort of really high ranged def food? I fought several people and I've just missed them like mad, every 7th shot or so would hit (I was missing, he wasn't dodging or blocking or counter-attacking). One guy I fought was a master rifleman/master CM so I know it wasn't his skills, it has to be something he ate. I first though maybe ranged def food but the best I could find was like +30 ranged def. Would that really help that much? Could someone explain this to me? Thanks

So, a Master Rifleman, Master CM should have a ranged defense of 78. With this template you really can't defense stack anymore, so here are the things that I know of which could increase your ranged defense.
Food +25 (this may vary a little bit, but I think the max effectiveness to this is limited to 25, can anyone confirm this? At any rate, the food that increases your ranged defense is not much more even if it can pass 25)
SEA +25
Grouped with a MSL +30
In a city with the Stronghold Specialty +50
Total: 208.
It is unlikely however that all of these things were factors, but just a couple of them may have made him considerably harder to hit. Someone with the right template, naturally at +125 ranged defense, could end up at +255. It would not take that much to cap at block either, and there is a food for that.
Also consider that if the guy was moving, and if you were moving that makes it that much harder to land a hit. Add in a not ideal range and a lower accuracy rifle and it is not at all hard to imagine that a rifleman with only a couple of the above could become very difficult to hit. And this is assuming you are yourself a Master Rifleman.
Just my two cents on the issue, hope it helps.
