Im tired of how inneffective deut/toxins/infect are over-all, and started looking what i could gain if i gave them up. I found a sweet rifle and want more rifle skilz to help my tank tkm actually hit hard also. I am now TKM/MCM/novice rifleman--lvl 80. I used profcalc and everything looks well worth it if I go from MCM to cm4004 and add all to a 4004 rifleman.
What i loose:
-half my bio suppression points (meh, i still keep thyroid rupture)
-virtually all my med warfare (meh, seems to have little efffect even with all three laid on)
-a drop in healing effeciancy...85 down to 70..i dont like this, but will live with it.
What I gain:
-120 to 150 melee def.
-60 to 85 rifle acc.
-30 to 65 rifle speed.
-30 to 75gen. ranged acc.
-110 to 140 ranged def.
All these jumps are considerable, and with my new 400base dps rifle should make me an offensive force now. The only thing not shown on prof calc is how much mymax. health/action/mind will fall by leveling down 3 lvls. I am 0000novice rifleman and have 500dps on my new gun...will a 4004 rifleman up this # much?
thanks in advance, and take it easy on the abbreviations please i am only 6 weeks in lol...

Going to 4004 in rifleman will net you some very cool skills in addition to what you mentioned. You'll get improved aim, which is great for the opening shot. You'll also get Improved Sniper Shot and Improved Head Shot. Using improved aim followed by an imp sniper shot nets initial damage in the 1500-2000 range against most mobs. Imp head shot can be spammed as they near and you apply electrolyte drain. What this means is that you'll rarely need to use your TK skills as the mobs will be dead before they get to you.
On the other hand, you aren't simply lowering your hitpoints when you lower your combat level. I think "to-hit" percentage and multipliers are affected against higher level targets, so being CL77 will net you less effectiveness against CL80 than just the loss in hps.

On a side not, you can get BE clothes to make up that drop in healing eff.

There is also an artisan drink, aitha, which gives only a healing efficiency bonus. With some less than stellar resources, and no additives (ie, far from the best) I got healing efficiency + 11 for 5 minutes. So there are some alternatives for dropping some healing efficiency points.

unless you want to do this for novelties sake, don't mix ranged and melee professions. CM 4004/TKM is good, but augment it with some swordsman (Armor break) and maybe some pike to deal AoE damage if you like. This will allow you to deal a lot more damage, without having to switch weapons around.
