Hey there, folks, I'm trying to make a decision on what path I shouldultimately takein rifles. There is no way I will get to Master Rifleman (because I have too much invested in other professions), but I would just like to get as strong as possible in rifles.

Right now I'm at rifles 2/1/0/1.Once I get to 2/1/0/3, I will have 5 sps left. I'm just wondering if I shouldgo forSniping III andSpecials IV, or spend the remaining sps onCounter-Sniping I ?

So it's either gonna be 3/1/0/4 or 2/1/1/3 for me.

I've heard thatFlushingShot I is pretty good in making NPC opponents stand up from prone positions and stunning them (and I would also get some blocking too), in addition, SurpriseShot doesn't really work too well, supposedly.Yet I would gain the extra accuracy in Sniping III (not withstanding the broken Surprise Shot) and I would also get more speed and some more melee defense with Specials IV.

Please help.

To be truthful Rifleman is a profession that you really need to Master to get the most out of. There is a large difference between 4/4/4/4 and Master.

However if you still want some rifles skills I would go the 3/1/0/4 route.

Counter-Sniping I isn't going to help to much. While the increased speed from Rifle Abilities will. As will the increased Accuracy. You'll still have one AoE attack (FlurryShot2 AoE Dizzy), along with as fast as you can get without getting Master. Plus enough accuracy to hit most of the time.

That build should be ok for single target (non BAF types) combats. But only having the lowest AoE attack will make you want to be cautious in taking on groups. Depending on what other combat skills you have of course.

Thanks for you advice, Waste93!

I was sort of leaning towards the choice of path that you suggest, but I needed a little shovein that direction to help me decide.

I don't intend to do very difficult missions by myself or solo PVP, but as a Master Dancer and soon to be Master Image Designer, I still would want to be ofmaximum combat usewiththe rifle when I go on missions with my buddies (who have far greaterfighting skills than I do).

You got that right, Redstar. As MasterID, I can doa real "hatchet job" on the enemy, or even someone I don't like. They might wish that theyWERE dead after they take off the helmet to see what I've done to their face

As far as I know, no poisoned lipstick yet, W93. But maybe by Build 12,the way the devs seem to be taking care of us IDs, maybe we WILL have some weapons like that. Perhaps we'll also be able to travel aroundin disguise as some sort of spieswith espionage themes in the game. That would be intriguing. Who knows?

Well if you have a b/o factor maybe the ID's should also get some deodorant. It could reduce that b/o just like b/f is reduced.
