Thread: Master Bounty Hunter has a Jedi Hunting Question

that's the key there. Master Sabers have insane LS block. lower level jedi will be much easier to hit (exclusive of mundane defenses like fencer/tkm defense stacking).
anyway.. the original premise is right-- melee are much tougher for a jedi to defeat than ranged. I'd go melee.
I read a Dev or Thunderheart post somewhere that talked about jedi and melee. It basically said that melee was intended to be the weakness of jedi (or at least jedi would always be much stronger defending against ranged attacks than melee attacks). I don't remember where I read this, though. But it's my understanding that Teras Kasi was supposedly developed to combat the jedi, am i right?

I am a master rifleman, and I once tried to jump a TEF'd dark force master who was soloing near the DW bunker. I spammed HS3 and landed next to nothing. Block block block block block. What did land did ridiculously low damage.

Thunderheart had posted that Teras Kasi were developed to combat jedi. He quickly took back that statement and apologized for the statement and said that they were not intended for that purpose.
As for Teras Kasi, all lore on them points to it as strictly a regular martial art. There is only one reference about them vs. Jedi and that comes from an encyclopedia that is constantlybeing refuted that most people would hesitate to call is a star wars reference guide.
Darth Maul was a Teras Kasi Master. There was a light Jedi Teras Kasi pit fighter mentioned in lore.
Once again though the melee have the advantage. Dont know about you but there was ALOT more shooting in the movies than kung fu fighting yet we riflemen are the only effective ranged prof. vs. melee. well until we get KD/dizzied.
