What rifle does cold damage? What's the certification for using it?

The SG-82 rifle does Cold damage, but is not very powerful. I have a decent one and it is only 262 max damage and has Armor Piercing = none if i remember right. I almost never use it, so don't spend a lot on one.
It looks like a combination trombone and shower head.

yes, it pretty much tips the scales at utterly useless.
funny thing is, i've seen people try to hunt Krayts with them, since cold is one of their lowest resistances, completely ignoring the medium-heavy armor of the critter.

lol. That would work if you took something like a T21 and added cold damage to it wouldn't it? Is that even possible, adding a damage type with a powerup, or by the weaponsmith when being made, or something?

Even an SG-82 with a 205 strength Mind Fire DoT isn't so great. Well, the 9% potency may play a factor too...
Generally, SG-82s aren't good for too much beyond display(Until someone makes them AP1 or AP2).
