Hello,
I have been a Master Fencer / Master Pistoleer for a long time now. I have decided that its time for something new. So I decided to go Master Rifleman / Master Swordsman. I am currently 1103 in Rifleman. I am currently reading the different FAQs I have found but wanted to ask the members of this board for some tips. I am currently running quenker missions on Dant.
So any tips for a new Rifleman?

Quenker missions are good. Get sniping tree first because headshot 3 is going to be your friend for awhile. Then from there you can level up the middle two any way you like. I did them at the same time so it would go 4112 and 4223
. Once you get at least the rifle abilities up to a 2 or 3 go for the huurton stalker missions. Just remember to wear some ubese.

Haha,
I did not know Kauri was held in such high regard concerning the Rifleman profession.

oh, i might as well throw some advice in here also:
1.) you have spec. abilities 3, so use Flurry2 to your advantage. it's an aoe dizzy. use it as an AOE to hit multiple targets if you have a tank. Use it to inflict Dizzy on NPC's, and follow with suppression fire (from marksman ranged spt 4) for a dizzy/kd. Also, most ranged NPC's (rebel and imperial mission targets) will posture change on their own if you change range on them. run toward them, then away... they'll kneel sooner or later and start flopping. Doing this on jantas, mokks, etc is much harder, as they don't posture change on their own.
2.) use a speed sliced laser w/speed powerups until you can headshot2 or hs3 at the cap with damage slice and/or damage powerup. whatever it takes, stay at the 1 sec headshot, or as close as you can get to it.
3.) headshots beat non-pool specific damage any day.
4.) go prone at 60m to start your attacks... you get several freebies before your target realizes you're there. doesn't work on npc's as well, but hey.. you get dizzy/kd's for them.

i don't like conceal shot because it's too slow.
i'm assuming he wants tips on how to grind to master the fastest. if that's the case, then headshots against something that gives 3k xp and dies fast is much better than spending 8 mins to concealshot something to death for 5k xp.
also, I assumed knowledge of buffs was a given. no one hunts without buffs now-- even my fencer/tkm uses BE brandy.

I posted this for someone else but most shoudl apply for you also:
"
Welcome back. I just came back from a shorter break also. I would imagine any server is good to play Rifleman as they should be the same in terms of PvE combat, PvP on my server is in a terrible state right now.I play as MTKA/MRM on Lowca and love it...I can just about kill anything from ranged or melee (have a mix of Swordsman for MindHit2 also).
If you are going to go Rifleman again I would start with Rifleman/CH or strong melee for defense after being attacked. If you get Conceal Shot you should be golden also and leveling up against Grauls is easy XP. If you go CH/Rifleman go to the Geo caves on Yavin...level up CH at a rate of 200k an hour on a good day...tell pet to attack then retreat as you get an automatic 2000xp for CH for one hit against geo spawns...you might get some decent Rifle xp if the melee folks are tanking slowly but thats rare..they pretty much tear it up for the loot rights.
Other than that regular Quenkers on Dantooine are great xp also...buy some disposable Laser Rifles so you can burn them up with the special shots and power level....get some good brandy and moun gold for mind plus doc buffs at 10-12k a hit and you should be Master in a few days or less depending on how much you play.
Enjoy"

I go for getting my mind secondaries buffed by a musician, topping up with brandy as needed and spamming headshot 3. Mind re-generates just as fast as it drops so nothing to worry about.
