Thread: Does Being A Twi'lek Hurt My Effectiveness As A Rifleman?

With all the talks about heavy mind costs for the rifleman, I was just wondering...
Eventually I want to try out rifleman. However, I am a twi'lek. I can only boost my mind secondaries to 600. Unlike humans, we twi'leks can't up the secondaries all the way into the 1000 range.
Does this really hurt my effectiveness at being a rifleman? I am just curious since I see many rifleman who have migrated their stats, all on mind, focus, and willpower, while leaving the other 6 stats at bare minimum 400.

its hurts but you'll manage with food/drink/buffs. you mind secondaries only go to 500/500 actually. hopefully they rework the species attributes, but i think that's a pipe dream.

I am a Twi'lek Master Rifleman, and im not having that many
problems. just use double dose of good brandy, or ahrisi
and you'll be fine. try and get low-enc armor, i use 76%
ubese for PVE and i can shoot fine

If you want to PvP i'd reroll a human.
500 focus + 500 (master musician buff) + 400*2 (2x brandy) = 1800. Sounds nice, but good luck PvPing without armor, so that's 900 focus/willpower down the drain and you are sitting at 900 even with double brandy and master musician buff.. :/

Like the previous poster said, your best friends will be food and drink.
For example, I currently use:
Normal mind stats = 500
+433 Brandy (drink) x 2 = +866 to all three mind stats for 46 minutes
+412 Ahrissa (food) x 2 = +824 to Focus for 34 minutes
(I'm not positive on the +412 for Ahrissa... hope I'm remembering that right)
So if my math is right, you can fight consistently with M=1366, F=2190, W=1366
And if you're really serious, you can actually take another Ahrissa (filling=33) for another +412 to focus.
Or instead of Ahrissa, you can eat Vagnerian Canape which is like +719 to Focus/Willpower, but only for like 10 mins.
The high focus means you can spam your MOST EXHAUSTING specials and basically use NO mind.

2x brady
2x ahrisa
musician buff
and i might have to take another ahrisa, but you will have litle to now mind cost, im a zabrak, but with stat migration you can only get 500 to focus, but i manage.

I am a twilek master Rifle, I find that 2 brandy's 2 canaps reduce my mind costs to nothing even when fully armored.
