Hi,

I'm Master Rifleman/Master Swordsman with a 4004 TKA and a bit of medic, from what I hear both these proffesions can solo the acklay but when I tried today I got killed and was wondering what I was doing wrong, I got down there with no problems, walked though the door and got attacked by 3 kwi's which didnt present much of a problem, so I powerboost and now there is the acklay, 2 enhanced klicknicks and some spiders, I kill the spider by the door and try to work out a way of agroing the klicknick to the right without agroing the acklay. But the acklay see's me so I am saved the trouble, I stay in the doorway and start shooting the acklay and a kwi spawns behind me so I move into the main room and kill the kwi first because it is intimidating me, then a klicknick joins in shooting fireballs at me soI move into close range and kill the klicknick and then the next klick nick joins in, all this time the Acklay is intimidating me so killing the klicknick takes ages, by the time I have finnished,the other one I had just killed respawns and I've been in the room for about 5 minutes and have hardly got a shot off at the acklay, soI try to concentrate on the acklay and start attacking him, but he is keeping me intimidated and I'm not really doing much damage, I got about half way through before I got killed by ignoring the klicknicks, I was just wondering how you guys deal with the klicknicks in the room with acklay and if there was anyway to avoid being intimidated by him other than having a tank. I've done it with a tank before and he dropped in minutes, but withhim intimidating me and klicknicks spawning as fast as I can kill em because of the intimidation I'm really struggling solo.

Any advice would be appreciated as I would like some bones

for me, the key to soloing the acklay is getting it to agro the other stuff in/near that room. get the acklay/klik/kwis to fight each other while you stand back and shoot your rifle. im also a fencer. this is what i do:

1. run in the room and stick bleeds on everything (important, not for the damage, see step 6)

2. now that you have everything agro on you, stop for a sec and let them all pile up on you

3. run around the room while shooting/swinging at the group with an area attack (important to keep moving)

4. try to peace out every once in a while (to avoid step 5)

5. get incapped

6. while you are incapped, your bleeds will tick. since they can't attack you they will start on each other. stand up and blast away.

realize that you take a gamble on getting incapped because they may db. i've done this many times and with the exception of the first time, they have never db'd me. but the first time i didn't bleed and thats key. good luck.

I've done it different ways. The cleanest method I've done it is to use conceal shot or single target attacks on the kwis and klicknicks in the doorway and then use conceal shot on acklay. Had no risk, even when the kwis at the doorway respawned - they don't aggro you unless you move often times. If you don't like that method, pull the powerhammer out and area attack acklay, using stims as needed. The kwis will fall away and as long as you stay in one spot, you should only have 1 or 2 klicknicks shooting fireballs at you which won't do a ton of damage on you. Make sure that you start out on acklay by stacking a bunch of intimidates in order to keep his damage against you down. You'll tank him forever as long as you have decent armor, buffs, and a high mind.

Sadly, the last few times I've gone to kill acklay I've been beaten out on looting rights by jedis - love not being able to compete...
