Thats happened to me before... though not on TC. I've only seen it once, but it was pretty cool. Shuttle dropped off some ST's and they helped me kill a crystal snake.

Though I had heard about it before, it happened to me for the first time on Naboo last week, near the northern beach outside of Kaadara. It landed near a house, out popped the dark ST's and away it went. That was a quick 150 FP. I wish they'd deliver some more to me. Anyone know the number?

this is interesting

a while ago I read something posted on the main site about in-game events that occur rarely.

There was one situation where a shuttle would come, drop people off, and depending on who you talked to, you either had to kill them or keep them alive.

Could this be part of that system, either in part and working, or halfway implemented and broken?

I don't think so, ArcaJeth... This all started when they first dropped the "Imp Crackdown" code. I think it was right after that that I saw some posts about people seeing this happen.

IIRC, it was with the crackdown that the events were added. They were all faction based.

Just wanted to share a little story.

Last night I was on Talus killing Torturs on TC. Working towards Novice Rifleman. Found a nice little constant spawn sight and there was a Woodland Kima near by that would attack any Torturs I drew near it.

Also in the area was a squad of Dark Troopers. Though they weren't helping.

Anyways, I was drawing a Tortur towards a Kima when I heard a sound. I looked above me and an Imperial shuttle was comming in. It stopped about 60m from my location. A ramp lowered. Out came a squad of eight Storm Commandos and one Dark Trooper. Once disembarked the shuttle took off again.

Anyways I thought it was pretty neat to see. Noone else that was on TC at that time had seen something like that happen before. They weren't a scan team since they never bothered to check me even when I was in the middle of them. If I see it again I'll try to take some screen shots. But it was a nice background effect.
