Thread: Best rifle and armour question

Hi,
I've been a rifleman for just over but havnt been playing much since the CU and have a few questions to ask, first is our best rifle now the advanced laser rifle? all the ones I have seen seem to be better than T21's and now their is no listing for armour piercing, does this still exist behind the scenes?
It would be a shame if the T21 is to be replaced by the advanced laser rifle because the T21 just looks sooo much cooler.
Second question is about armour certs, I'm master rifleman, master smuggler and pistoleer 0404 and I should be certed for reconisance armour, when I refitted my preCU composite it shows 0% hinderances, but when I look for armour on vendors they all show me as having the full hinderance, is this normal or is this a bug, i did play with my char a bit in respec so something could have gone wrong there.
Third I have 6 Krayt tissues +141 damage, what is best to use these in, I was thinking a laser rifle as it seems more powerfull than the DXR6-b and the jawa but it leaves me with 2 spare tissues, any reccomendation for these (can tusken rifles take tissues and if so how many?)

right now the correct armor hinderances wont show up until they are in your datapad, if you are certified then you have nothing to worry about

1. T21's still rule the roost. Get a new one made - the converted ones suck. I was a Master Weaponsmith (12 pointer)/Rifleman until this weekend with 18 months experience and made a bunch of rifles for me to use. Max DAM on a Laser was about 1020, with a sliced DPS of 510 ish. The T21's came in at 1058 DAM with a sliced DPS of 530ish. Not a great deal of difference I know, but they are better (wound percent is about 10% for laser - over 30% for T21 for a start, with careful construction I got 95 sac aswell). Note that alot of weaponsmiths have not yet got to grips with how to experiment on components and the weapons - significant gains can be made if you know how. I'm missing WS already :S but want CL80 fun !
2. Bug.
3. Use them in a T21. It takes 5 power handlers now - that's 6 tissues. Or a Laser and save the remaining tissues for a couple of nice pistols.

Thanks for the replies, the T21s and Lasers are no where near that good on my server yet so I guess i will hold onto the tissues until our weaponsmiths have got to grips with the new system

I have been using the trando hunting rifle (quest reward duringavatar platform quest) 581-1059 sliced 95 sac with pup i can get it to 681-1209. just moved into the rifleman profession to check it out fully, and i have to say i love it. with cyber arms i can reach out to 80 m, and kill my mark fairly easily. Very very nice.
