My name explains most of my questions so bare with me. I mastered riffleman with one of my accounts as part of the holo grind. I was working on it again with another account when I maved in January and had to take five months off from the game and tonight I respec my fencer swordsman to TKA Riffleman. I'm lost I don't even know how to make conceal shot work. It says wrong state and well I don't even know what state I should be in. I apologize for the stupidity and thanks to anyone that is willing to help.

You'll find a number of threads concerning this, but in a nutshell: to use conceal shot, you must be prone, and you must be under cover. Now, *getting* into cover is a little tricky, but it sounds like things might improve with the next publish.

Cover is very tricky at this point, so you may have to move around prone a bit until it sticks. When you you click the cover icon, watch it as the special warms up. If the icon turns red and you hear the *clunk* noise, the cover won't stick, and you have to move a bit, and try it again.
Once it sticks, you can use conceal shot.
Another thing I enjoy doing is going prone and just using sniper shot, a root, head shot, and sniper again if the target is still standing. With a powerful, low SAC rifle, few targets that are around your CL are going to get close...because it all starts at 65m out (more with those crazy looking robot arms).

Is indeed a most excellent strategy!
Though I'd suggest you experiment with whatever specials you may have available to you, to replace the "head shot" shot. If you're an MBH, Advanced Critical will do even more damage. And you can actually put Underhand Shot in before it, to increase the damage even further.
If you are an MBH, don't try knockdown then snipershot - things get up too soon.
The "basic" strategy outlined above is also great in a group. The initial snipe will take a large chunk out of your opponent and get them heading your way (away from potential friends!) and then the root kicks in and your group can go to town. Much fun for all.

I have been trying to get a good set of compliment skills to MR, but I am limited by how much I can respec. I am now MR with Pistoleer x/4/x/3 and use mainly the Stopping Shot.
With respec soon ending, I think I have one more chance to make a change, and advanced BH isn't possible with the respec points I have.
