Thanks for the thread, I am also looking for the same. I refuse to exploit EVEN if everyone else is doing it, its much faster to get exp, or just plain easier.

A tip if you will.

Grab yourself a little CH.

I am a ranger and a rifleman, while it is quick to become a master ranger it is taking forever to become a master rifleman.

I usually team up with a CH and it works well, i get loads of rifle XP and scout XP, but when im by myself i seem to get half what i usually get if that.

So i tried getting a little CH. Now, because i am a ranger, the scout XP i require wasnt an issue, for some it might be, but none the less, i got it.

Now, since getting CH, i can take on entire herds of Dalraykes without using conceal shot and without dieing once, (Dalyraykes move **edit** fast) and the Matriach Dalraykes can yield up to 1.5k Rifle XP per kill. I intend on using this method, which isnt an expolit, its using a profession to help you, until i have enough points to master rifle, then i will sacrifise it, but until then, im using the CH to take on dalraykes, torturs and when i get enough CH (so i can have a Greater Sludge Panther) ill head to Endor and take on Merek's (They are around 3k rifle XP per kill)

So there ya go, my method to help you advance rifleman.

Now, if that isnt an option, dalryakes and tortur on talus are good, you can do em if you use the conceal shot, it will jsut take you a long time is all.

I had considered adding CH as well to my repetoire of professions, although for now I am just going overt and using faction pets when I need a bigger tank.

Thanks for the contribution.

Banthas of various types on Tatooine have been working pretty well for me and a friend of mine. So far the only one we've found that BAFs is the Matriarch (could be others we don't know about). Open with your two bleeds, then a head shot, bantha charges, switch to pistol, warning shot until it flees, then alternate head shots and warning shots until it dies. If you're a scout, harvest woolly hides.

i highly recommend some basic CH, but that would be generally is you have scout as well.

It woudlnt be worth it if you had to get novice scout and the associated skills just to get CH, would be to much of a grind, but for me, as almost a Master Ranger the scout xp wasnt an issue and it works well for me. THat and i love the look of a Greater Sludge Panther.

better yet for the banthas, get at max distance, go prone, mind shot 2 (spam it)

when the bantha starts charging, stand up and start running. Banthas run the same speed you do, so you can keep them at 40 meters away, just watch for aggro. I can do 2 banthas before I have to sit to regen my mind, but that is totally unbuffed, and haven't quite even made rifle specialst yet.

Look for feral banthas, they have about 1k HAMs and gives the same xp as the tougher banthas (Tusken Banthas etc). I can one-shot feral banthas with HS2, and I just reached Novice Rifleman.

Lol. Don't spam Mindshot2. Each time you use it, it overwrites the previous mindshot. Just use Mindshot2, then Mindshot1. You have to deal some actual damage to it after this, but warningshot will work for that if you just want to wait.

And you can switch to your trusty Spraystick instead of a pistol--that way you can stay within the rifleman's field.

Some spots that I've found are: the banthas on Tattooine, Corellian Butterfly warrens on Corellia (the ones that spawn Warriors only--you can shoot one of them, and his buddies come to attack you. But if there are only two, you do a headshot on the first, then switch targets and kill the second one first. These guys have maybe 800hp, and are worth about 1200xp. Rogue bagerasets are also good xp on corellia.

Lately I've been soloing Nym bases on Lok. With only Expert Sniping Accuracy, a T21, and a spraystick, I was able to solo these guys--for 3-4k xp per kill. Give them mind bleeds, then send in your pet (Rock beetle works well--non CH can use them). Switch to the spraystick. Use a suppression fire every 5-6 shot. He keeps kneeling, so can't attack your beetle, and eventually the mindshots kill them. Afterwards, you also get 16k credits for the mission. You can also try to use the rifleman's knockdown--flurry shot + suppression/strafe shots--if you don't want to use a pet. However this knockdown does not give you a 10 second reprieve, nor can it be stacked.

check this out

go out to tantooine with like 5 other ppl and hunt dragons

you will get at least 2000 rifle xp per kill (if you kno what ur doin), surround it, use NPCsor pets as meat (or not, its jus safer) and just have everyone focus on one or two ham bars withbleeders, and use warning shot! this will freak the dragon out for like 2 seconds only, but if everyone spams it...

you get the idea

oh and unless you like insta-death DONT go for the giants
