Thread: The Joy of Being a Rifleman
Gotta say, Ilove beinga rifleman.
I know there are still many fixes ahead, but even at Novice levels I cannot say more about how much I enjoy the risk and reward of being out there, exposed as all hell (even with Cover) shooting slower than the pistoleer or BH, havingintriguing and sometimes frustrating moves, but knowing that inmatter of5-7 shots or so with MS2 (dont have 3 yet), that reb gen is going to die. Who dies first . . . the great unknown.
I have watched a number of other combat classes (aside from BH) panic when firing, and it is very cool to be able to say "Don't worry, I'm on him and he'll be dead ina sec."
Others may disagree. You may want that immediate kill of everythingyou see. But that gets old REAL fast. Recall thenewbie adventure of killinga rill orlesser desert xxx onTatoine. When u pick em off and get no xp for it, it isREALLY tedious. Me, I am in this for the thrill and danger. How about you guys?
I agree completely. I went back to my "home planet" of Rori last night (man, talk about a dead planet!) and outside one of the gates to Restuss there were some whiteNPCs spawningvery regularly. I just stood in the gateway and one-shotted them one after another for 230+ XP each using my T21 with conceal shot.
Fun? Only for about 2 minutes. But after my "need to feel the power" died down, it gotBORING fast. I quit after about 10 minutes and headed back to Tatooine.
Took a while to get the Combat XP. last night I had a breakthrough. Thaks SOE for spawning the scyks and mountain worts close enough to hit both repeatedly
Deffinately worth the grind to get.
I might actually get to try harder mobs now

Sure I die alot as a rifleman, but the combo of MS2 / HS2 / WarningShot is amazing.
Long live the rifleman!
