Rifleman Archive

The array of weapons available in SWG is unsatisfactory in general As for Rifleman we have no true to SW rifles, in terms of fitting all roles,the only rifle attained at Rifleman is the T-21. Which was never REALLY used as a Sniper rifle. And many people take this profession because thats how they see it to be. Regardless this profession should encompass all areas of Riflemanship not just heavy rifles, but also precision rifles, like sniping. And all we have really in terms of that is the "Laser Rifle" which sounds like a generic gen-x type of weapon name and I've never heard of it before as a Star Wars fan. I can go on rambling here but what I've done is found you a link. And for the rest of the community as well to comment on. That documents many of the various rifles and other weapons in the Star Wars universe. Some of which would be good candidates as additions to the rifles we currently have available.

In short I'll cut to the chase. I'd like to see new weapons for this class and the others, not just weapons found in the movies. So here:

I think I can speak for the other Rifle users in that no one wants to rely all their battle strategy on one single weapon. Theres a lack of diversity here.

Whoa Nikolai! Thats a sweet list o weapons! Man if the devs would start making that many weapons in game, i would die a happy man!

Rather than seeing that, I'd like to see weapons more customizable by the weaponsmiths. More drastic speed/damage tradeoffs, even ideal range customizing. Then you could truly have many different brands of rifle out there, without the devs having to go in and create tons of confusing new models.

They'll be adding more weapons in the future I'm sure. Some of the very long range sniper rifles would be nice.

I would be happy witha Speed 15.0 and Distance >64 sniper rifle with AP 3 and high dam. If it gets em, great. If not, try another weapon at closer range.
