Lets say I want to get some exp what would be the best way to stay alive? There is a piket on dantooine and I am all by myself what do I do? Take cover, warning shot, surpression, etc? I am a guardsmen so not to high up the ladder. I am almost about to qualify for my T21. I need to make money too. So fellas teach me the ways.

depends on the situation.

mindshot2/1 are always a first.

then depends on if you are fighting humans or creatures.

since suppression fire works, i find myself using that more than warning shot - unless the mobs is social.

then i warning shot the adds, suppression the one i am focus'd on..

also - once you get flurry shot, it will allow you to knockdown humans/some creatures with the suppression/flurry combo.

just experiment. see what you like... but most importantly - keep moving.

oh, mob wise - i have a love/hate relationship with lok.

i have been killing snorbals since about novice rifleman and up.

11k missions + hides for selling + decent xp (although a little slower than some spots) = very hard to leave.

But once i am free of xp ... i thinki will not come back to Lok for a while.

Snakes on lok are good also, but once you hit about expert lvl skills the xp slows from them.

Here is my tactic for creatures.

I use a Laser Rifle, I sneak up to ideal range, go prone, do 2 mindshots to get the best bleeding damage and then 1 headshot.

After the headshot, the creature will begin attack and rushing towards me, I stand up (right after the HS) wield my fastet rifle (atm a very crappy CDEF Rifle), and hit it with warning shot, now I just continue to hit with warning shot and see the creature bleed to death. Some times I wield my Laser Rifle again and do some more mind damage shots and a few headshots, (not too much because the mindpoll costs are huge)

I dont know if this is the best way but it works for me. I took out about 10 8k HAM Banthas with this tactic.

A good tip is when you use minddamage do go overChargeShot, because that is two different polls you are damaging then. Hit the same poll all the way.

IMO!

Good luck.

I'm going to echo what the posters above me said and try to put it in the clearest terms possible:

[equip highest damage rifle (laser or T21)].... go prone at 60m....

Mindshot2 (if you have it).... followed by Mindshot1... (they "stack", that is, add together) ...Headshot2 or 1

After the above sequence:

[equip fastest rifle (spraystick or dlt20a)].... Stand up (in case you need to add some distance)...
...suppression fire every 5 or 6 seconds --OR-- Warning shots.

Actually, you can use your Pistol for suppression fire and SAVE THAT MIND HAM.

Sit back, have a beer, and watch the target bleed to death.

I'll try these tacatics thanks fellas. 1 more question since I am at work, when switching to pistol can I still use the supression shot I was awarded from rifle exp? Another thing if any of you guys play on corbantis would you be interested in forming like a riflemen squad that goes hunting together? We could use some crazy tacitcs and maybe learn some things from each other. I know some of you guys are in PA's myself included but I'm sure we could work out a day or two to do group riflemen tactics together.

What would it be like if we had like 20 riflemen that surrounded a target fromall directions with out them knowing it? Could we do some damage?

what if you did contract work outside of your PA? Like assinate members or anyone your paid to assinate.

Would it be cool if we used cordinated tactics in the city? Say we snuck into some of the buildings that are like never used and did recon on some oposing faction members. We get the signal once everyone is in position and let loose.

For Exp. go to Dath outpost near river. Follow river edge till ya find a Biz Natch Lair close to water edge. Mindshot1&2 combo one or more depending on how close they are swim to other side . Generally the Biz Natches will be half dead by time they come into range finish off with headshot2. (may need to swim back if ya have multiple mobs aggroed.) easy way for rifleman get between 50k an 100k an hour rifle exp. Combat exp is nice also.another way is just to mindshot as many as ya can an swim in circle usually 2 mindshot1&2 combo will kill them for me giving me 4261 rifle exp. each. you will need develope your own way to do this but this is what works best for me.

So like run up on the mob as close as I can get with out getting detected if the mob show up red on my radar. Hit take cover and use mind shot 1. Then just experiment from there I guess. Overcharge shot 2 seems pretty good so far and headshot 1. I just dont seem to know how to pull a target out of its group so I can focus on one at a time. I sure do die quickly on pikets unless someone is there to help me.
