The Melee Penalty has a problem that I am sure we have all felt the effects of. That would be "ranged" melee attacks. You all know what I mean. Whether it's the MOB that spits green acid at you (which counts as a melee attack) or the annoying would-be kite victim that somehow manages to whail on you from 15-20 meters away, we still soak the 250% Melee Penalty.
I can't help but wonder if there isn't a way to put a range limit on that penalty, so that annoying shots from far-off MOBs and out-of-range lunge-type attacks don't get the benefit of this. It's an imperfect solution, but the perfect solution would be to hook every player up to a fiber-optic SWG network so we could all have pings of 1 and to fix the attack type on every MOB with a ranged secondary atack.
Mine would definitely cost less.
