hi, i just joined this great SWG community about 2 weeks ago. and i fell inlove with the rifle first few days.

now that im getting better at the game and starting to lvl a bit faster. my MAIN question was what other profession should i get into? im too new to get into PVP as i lack the Equipment. so PVM-wise.

right now my stats are as follows

novice medic 1-1-2-3

novie scout 3-0-3-0

Novice Rifleman 0-0-0-0

Novice Brawler 0-0-4-0

i got a few pointers from some riflemasters on my server(ahazi)

  • "go CH, have it Tank for you" (or BE)= this one made a lot of sense. since i am usually online alone (i havent made any friends yet), i can use a creature.

  • "Go CM" = from the way i see it, CM is basically PVP/Group. So maybe i can get this later when i find a steady group of people to hunt with.

  • "Go Swordsman" = right now im on this track. since i dont have conseal shot yet i need this melee prof. to keep me from dying.

thats about it. i just want to see what your opinions are. Im Not Looking to Hologrind anytime soon nor PVP i just wanna enjoy the game with adventures/quests and all that. i guess thats that thanks for reading!

Master Rifle / Master Doc

Master Rifleman is the only way to playwith a rifle.

Doctor for so many reasons:

1) you can make a sheit load of money selling buffs at the Starports(A good thing since your rather new)

2) If you run into PVE trouble you can heal yourself

3) You can buff yourself

4) In PVP with the current power of armor it is better to heal damage then deal damage

CM's are like nukes. You have them just incase you need them, but as soon as you start using yours the other guys start using theirs and everything goes to hell-PyschoticChipmunk -The First line of the Riflenomican.

His point is a very strong one, Docs are very powerful in PVP with their ability to heal states and heal huge amts of damage.

As well, when you become aDoc, you can migrate all stats into mind, since you can buff everything else.

I am a Master Rifleman/Master Swordsman/Master Brawler. I enjoy the build alot. I really like the ability to switch to melee when I need it. I wish I had leveled Rifleman using 2H melee as a backup rather than using pistols. I cannot count the number of times I did a good deal of mind damage to my target only to have to switch to health damage once they got on me. Swordsman allows you to keep doing mind damage while negating the melee bonuses against us by switching to amelee weapon.

I am not interested in changing my template anytime soon. In fact, I like my build so much that I have no interest in pursuing Jedi because I do not want to give up any skills I have worked so hard to achieve. However, if I did choose to change my template, I would probably go Master Rifleman/Master Doc because it makes sense for all the reasons stated in other posts. Also, I finally opened a holo just to see what it would tell me, and I was happy to see that it told me Master Doc, the one thing I would probably change to if I did decide to change.

Also, you currently have about 120 skill points sitting there unused. I would advise you to go ahead and use at least some skill points on Entertainer and Artisan until you need them for your desired build. Entertainer will allow you to dance or play musicto heal your own mind wounds and BF as well as help others grouped with you. You can cure both in a cantina, inmost player owned buildings, and in bases, and you can cure mind wounds, though not BF, in camps. With regard to the latter, I believe healing inone of yourcamps will help your survival XP for Scout. Also, Artisan will allow you to survey. While surveying is not an absolute necessity for doing mining (people can give you waypoints to resources), surveying helps you find and harvest resources other than bones and hide. These resources can be sold for additional money, or they can be used for your own crafting (medical crafting, traps, etc.).
