Thread: Fellow Riflemen, how did you migrate your stats?

As you can see from my sig, I'm a recovering holo grinder that's stopping on MCH and Master Rifleman (I love them both too much, and they make it that I can solo...good for a casual player). I wear composite, and I wear Ubese if I've taken my composite off and don't have time to get buffed. That being said, I'm obviously running into mind problems. I use canape and brandy as much as possible, but I do run into many time periods where my stomach is too full to take more, but the previous one has worn off (canape is about 15 minutes, brandy is about a half hour or so).

So I'd like to know, how are other HUMAN Riflemenmigrating their stats? What's the best way to migrate them so that I can wear composite or ubese and still have enough mind left to regenerate, and enough health left to take a few hits or so. Does anyone have any suggestions?

My apologies if there is a FAQ on this. I looked around quite a bit and couldn't find anything.

Thanks in advance.

First off, ditch the armor. I ama MCH/MRM also, and I rarely, if ever get hit. Only way I can keep my mind up in comp is with canape, and 2 shots of brandy (that is with all stats migrated to mind).

If I go into a situation where I *NEED* armor, I normally go out of my way to get musician buffs.

It's all in the mind... literally. Just simply based on how easy it is to get doctor buffs, and the rarity of buffing entertainers, I'd say it's the best way to go (and if you ever do get an entertainer that way, you have crazy mind powers.)

Right now my mind is at 1100 with my remaining points equally divided between focus and willpower.

I max out all three mind stats and balance the rest. It works very well for me.

"First off, ditch the armor."

AMEN.

Armor is useless, completely and utterly useless unless you have a fully maxed out buff (and then it's usually not worth carrying around to reinsure if you get DBed). It's easier to don the trusty old gunner's duster and be prepared to hit BurstRun when necessary.

I use Vasarian Brandy BE, Accaragam <sp>, and Won-Won.

My stats are:

Health: 670

Strength: 499

Constitution: 562

Action: 686

Quickness: 678

Stamina: 399

Mind: 1051

Focus: 422

Willpower: 431

The stats work out great most of the time in PvE (along with MCH), for PvP I make sure I have at least a food buff.

Im a human and I keep my health/action at 800 flat. Then I put my Mind to 1000 instead of 1100 and put the rest into my focus/willpower. There like 470 each.

I'm master MRM/MCH. It's by far the best combo I've tried. As has been said before lose the armour. Keep the ubese incase they agro you but don't stand your ground get your pet to attack the creature and run.

My stats are

all 400

then

1100

800

1100

With one shot of brandy I can take down a lair of rancors without too much difficulty, with two shots you can spam headshot three until your trigger finger hurts.

I have a little different way of handling this dilemma than most.

With the introduction of Vaserian Brandy and Canape, focus is really alot less of an issue than it used to be.

So, in order to survive in a fight without buffs, I first place Health and Mind at 1000 and Action around 650-750 From there, I dump the rest of it evenly into willpower and focus, in your case. If you were doing PvP, I would recommend all into willpower for a little trick I like to do to counter Mind poisons. (The regen runs quick enough most of the time to squeeze off an occasional special between ticks of the poison, even when the poison has you down to 1 Mind after the previous tick.)

With Brandy, your focus shoots up to around 1400, so you have little problems dealing with HAM issues, although, I have had to rest and auto-attack a few times against big NPCs and critters, like canyon krayts and Tusken Observers/Named Nightsisters. However, in generally fighting, you will last a decent amount of time with your primaries up so high, lasting long enough to live for those few seconds while your pets come to help.

Secondly, only equip your armor when you're being attacked. Also, for PvE, don't use a helmet, very few things hit mind, so its something you want to only when you're fighting something that will target it. Another thing that I do is wear partial suits of armor. If you find yourself always being incapped with Health at zero, don a chestplate, Action, don leggings and boots. Mind, don your helmet.

Finally, even at master and with this, the T21 is a big HAM drain and may not be the best weapon for every situation. Personally, I carry every type of rifle on me, they all have their purposes and all serve a function, even at master rifleman. I'd experiment with a laser rifle if you still have HAM problems. It does comparable damage to the T21 with less consistency. The big thing is that it has half the HAM costs and unless you're fighting a high resist/armored opponent, the laser could be better for your purposes. And while it may sound weird, dont forget about the DLT20, it has next to no HAM drain for those times that you aren't under food's effects and works very well against low resist creatures. Sure, you get alot of newbie comments, but it does work as a very nice, low HAM rifle.
