I'm a Master Rifleman/Almost Master Doctor (just crafting to finish) and I want to get into PvP. I'm setting up my toolbar for this and wanted to know what you thought. On it at the moment are:

Rifle Special:

Heatshot 3

MindShot 2

Strafe 2

Flurry 2

Supression shot

Flushing 2

Startle 2

Doc Stuff:

Heal Dizzy

Heal Stun

Heal Intimidate

Heal Blind

Heal Damage

Heal Poisen

Heal Bleeds

Heal Disease

Heal Fire

Other:

Pixie

Muon

Blue Milk

Burstrun

Wookie roar (does this work in PvP?)

Jawa Ion

T21

DXR6-B Disrupter

What do you think about this combination? I took on my BH friend last night (he is 3-4-4-4) and he put so many state changes on me I barely had a chance to fire off any of my own specials before he finished me off. I couldn't remove the state changes as quickly as he could apply them :-(

Also, any advice on beating a (nearly) Master BH?

Well if your going against a master BH, none of the states really actually matter, maybe blind somewhat and intimidate, but not really.

Get a good chestplate and helmet to cover yourself from energy damage, maybe acid damage ( scatters)

Get brandy and V. Canapes and eat those, pop a muon. ( usually get up to around 2500 mind, when you have an 1100 base.)

Also if you want to, migrate all your stats into mind, your a doc, you can buff everything else.

The above advice has some flaws.

A MBH's primary opening tactic is to land states and knockdown/posture down on you with his carbine. Spray shot applies Dizzy, Stun and Blind, so you'll need to be able to deal with those. A side of knockdown defence food will also help.

Many MBHs are at least 0020 Pistoleer, to get access to the Geonosian Sonic Blaster, so make sure your helm and chestplate are protected against stun as well as acid and energy, if possible, to deal with the Eyeshot or Torso Shot spam that will probably follow.

If you can deal with the initial state attacks, and keep at your optimum range, you should have no problem - a MBH has less defences and less damage output than a MRM.

Otherwise, yes, max out mind/focus/willpower, use mind food and drink, get dancer/musician buffs if you can.

BHs are extremely easy to beat with your template. And I mean EXTREMELY easy.

The tactics are primitive. Get your focus close to 1400, get a stun helm (the % doesn't really matter), keep them at a distance of >30m, run a /healstate dizzy macro on yourself and spam hs3. That's it. In case you get dizzy kd'ed, spam the stand + heal dizzy macro.

BH is not a very good pvp prof atm. Seeing as how everyone has stun armor (at least on intrepid) geno pistols are rendered useless. BH also have no defenses. This means that with your high rifleman accuracy its not going to be hard to land all your headshots on him. He could still usehis ap2laser carb, but with its rediculousdamage range, ranged dmg mitigation makes that useless too.

Well guys a quick update. We had a guild fight night last night. Against my BH friend I won 2-0. Yeay!!! I prepared well - 2xbrandy and 3xcanape and full buff but only wookie armour and a PSG.I stuck a dizzy with flurry, supression and flushing caused the KD and I wasted his mind with my nice damage sliced Jawa with HS3. I was able to heal the major state changes he applied (mainly dizzy) which really reduced his effectiveness.

Thanks for the advice everyone!

PSI also beat aswordsman/CM (couldnt get near me) and TKA/Rifleman (wasn't a master in either so I was able to outdamage with my T21):-)

One (potential) problem on the portion of your bar that deals with eats and drinks:

Once you pop a double load of brandy and some canapes, muon gold or what have you, you'll likely be too full to consume blue milk or anything else in the midst of the fight. In my experience (limited though it may be) once you fill up, instead of hitting the button only to be told you are too full to drink that (or worse slurpling down some blue milk only to find out when you want brandy your bloated buttocks cannot take another drop)those things can be accessed from other bars or straight from the inventory.

If you've got some melee means you may want to put them there, or perhaps prone, stand, or stims (not being a doc myself I'm unaware if your other skills supplant the need).

My two cents though.
