I am not even going to pretend to be any kind of expert on the subject, but from what I've noticed, weapons switching is way to slow, and for what seems to be a "every moment is critical" style of pvp, that's not a good thing. My plan is working up Master Creature Handler along with my rifleman. For the reason that though it seems that creatures aren't that incredibly damaging (unless of course you have some badass BE stuff) they do provide a great distraction and some useful status effects while fighting people. At least that's what I'm hoping, but then again I've only been playing this game for about 3 weeks. I know it'sgreat tactic for PvE, I"m hoping that it transfers at least somewhat to PvP also.

Creature Handler is absolutly worthless when it comes to pvp! Your pets will be death within a few seconds - no matter if they are tamed or "BE"...so if u wanne go for pvp drop ch-skills....but to be back on topic...imo master rifle/fencer is a good pvp-combo...putting the rest of the skillspoints in defense-skills and u will get a good and powerfull pvp-char...my favorite template is:
Marksman 4-4-0-1
Brawler 0-4-0-4
Pikeman 0-0-4-0
Pistoleer 1-0-1-0
Master Rifle
Master Fencer

For PvP, go:
Master Rifleman
Master Fencer
TKA 0/0/0/4
Medic 0/0/4/0
You are waaay capped on melee and ranged defenses...Pick up some rifle speed AA's....Get lucky and find some dodge AA's...
Dont worry about the weapon switching...Use the following macro...
/ui action clearCombatQueue;
/peace;
/ui action toolbarSlotXX (whatever slot you have a gun/baton in)
The /ui action clearCombatQueue does exactly what it says, the /peace is self explanatory...There is about a second delay (if that), nothing like the current one..Yes, it works...
Doesnt work with armor though...

another way i have found getting around the switch delay is to not just equip something else but to quickly unequip ur current and equip the one you want

Rifleman / Fencer is good. Hard to hit, pretty nice attacks, etc. etc.
Rifleman / TKA is good.Amazing accuracy, lovely Dizzy/KD, lots of state effects.
Rifleman / Swordsman. Melee mind attack, high damage, great in PVE.
Personally I am Master Rifle, Master Swords, TK 4004, Novice Medic

Id pick up some TK skills and raise mind as high as you can get it for meditate, I get about 550 to HAM and thats been the difference in a few duels for me
Fencer has some great defense too so either way it works as long as you have canape and brandy, maybe some synthsteak etc etc
