I was wondering if rifleman has a root, or at least a snare. I am currently MBH and master carbineer but im thinking of switching to master rifleman, if they have a root or a snare i think this is a good idea. Are there any other MBH, master riflemen out there that could give me some input on this?

But i really dont see how im supposed to get anything good out of it... It does not seem to slow my opponents speed enough to have any impact.

"Could you please repeat that? You want a what? A Buff? Yes i am a Master Doctor, but you want me to apply a buff, are you sure?" - Serf being surprised that someone wanted a buff.
"Now follow my directions: Follow me, then..... hey what are you doing stop, stop *UGLY BLASTER SOUND* dammit i told you to follow me, not to run into that room with that large turret" - Serf to eager guildmate in the warren.
"Why are you looking at me?, im not here, really im not, this rifle is just a fake, i promise" - Serf to angry Ancient Krayt Dragon.
"Muhahaha im indestructable" *BOOM* - Serf realising that his trainer TIE might not be able to take on tier 2 enemies.

it makes up for the hinderance caused by carrying a weapon, so you can run at the same speed as them and keep your distance as long as they're still snared

startleshot is posture change and delay

not a snare nor a root

snare refers to movement debuffs

root movement removal

delay que debuff

If you pick up stoping shot from Pistoleer you could have a root.

i am mbh/mr/nov smuggler

until it gets noticed, I find conc a much better root that adv stopping shot. much quicker timer for taking several mobs out of the equation.

My friend is a Master Smugler and I noticed that to, but those extra skill points kill.

Snares also stack together from multiple professions. Kneecap Shot plus Jedi's Force Wave will slow opponents to the speed of a leisurely stroll.
Not sure if this will work from one character applying both snares (Rifles + Carbines for example) but it should.

One snare by itself is fairly useless and the Rifleman's one seems to most useless by itself of the ones I've seen. I only bother to apply it if someone else in my group has a snare to stack with mine, then I use it a lot.

It doesn't work directly (using the same rifle with both snares) but I hope to test using 2 different rifles to place the snares.. Previously Commandos could lay multiple flame dots as long as they used different weapons. I wonder if that is true of Rifles and snares.

Why all the smack talk about snare shots? I find KneeCap Shot perfectly useful against creatures. I've been grinding lvl75-84 malklocs on Dath. After a KD followed by Improved Kneecap Shot they're dead and I haven't even a scratch on me.

I tested the double-snaring earlier and you're right, Ackehece, the second one won't apply. No error messages I could see.
Didn't think to try with another weapon (only had a pistol on me) but will give that a shot.

Carbineer's Suppression Fire will work alongside Kneecap from what I observed, with the same weapon. But Suppression Fire already slows things down so much that if Kneecap Shot was doing anything, I couldn't tell.
