And I have been noticing that on creatures with AR:none, the damage sometimes is the same as in chat and other times it reflect the AP3 vs. AR0. And this had been on the same creature.

Something is wrong.

Examine the creature. If energy resistance shows up in the vulnerability section then you will do the exact same damage that you shoot for. However if it says 5% energy resistance then the AP effect will work correctly. In effect this makes it so that creatures that are "vulnerable" to energy actually take less damage than those that are resistant.

Forgot to mention, the creatures had no resists. Even so, I get different results per shot on the same creature. Resists, vulnarabilites, or weakness all should effect every shot in the same manner when firing at a creature.

Something else I've noticed.

When hitting multiple targets with Strafe2 ,it often does damage to just the targetted mob, while the other mobs just say they were hit, but no damage taken. But in my chat window it says I did damage. This goes for any gun.

I know it used to be when using a gun that has an AR over 0 that it will not work vs people with no armor (if that made sense). Maybe they didn't fix that.

The extra mobs taking no damage from the area effect is normal and has been reported for all area effects. Unless the mob is fighting someone/something then the splash damage won't actually hurt them.

Note it doesn't have to be aggro on you, you can pull a herd of herbivores into a carnivorous animals camp and they'll all jump eachother, then you can area effect everything for fun and excitement.
