Thread: How to kill Human NPC camps
I've been trying to gain some faction points but I can't simply kill those human camps as theentire camp notice youand start to shoot at you soon as you're firingat one. I know most of ourhide realated skills arebroken liketakecover, surprise shot and conceal shot all seems tohaveno effect in combat, meaningless skills, atleast whatI have found out of them. I would really appreaciate if somebodycould tellmewhat isgood way to kill human camps.
Well it's not a sure thing by any means, but here's what I do :
Open the overhead map with Ctrl - M and zoom out until you can see the NPC's you're attacking.
If the NPC's are aggressive :
Get to within 55-60 meters of them and wait until one notices you and wanders towards you a little. Either wait for him to start attacking or keep backing up and try to lure him farther from his companions. Generally I find if one moves away a little to investigate then starts to attack his cronies won't help him. Though it's a good idea to peace and back up as soon as he shoots. Once he follows you away from the camp a little, he's all yours.
If the NPC's are not aggressive :
Get to whatever distance you like to snipe from, go prone, warp backwards, crawl back up
Then just wait. Eventually one of them will wander away from his friends a little(too much coffee maybe). It takes a little experience to learn when you can safely tag one and not aggro his friends. If more than one does aggro, either kite them or burst run away then come back and try again.
Works for me anyway. YMMV.
Depending on the strength of the mobs, I usually just One shot one kill them with head shots
For some reason if you outright kill the target, it doesnt' seem to aggro the rest of the group.

Ok here's a tactic that seems to work very well for me (on hostile or non hostile mobs!)so i hope you have the same success.
1) Pick a target out of the group and move to your ideal shot range (thats 60m for me),
2) Hit the target with mindshot2 (or 1) and as soon as it hits them and you see the bleed icon appear hit peace.
3) You should not be in combat now so quickly back off and get out of range, i usually go to around 100m+.
4) When the target takes bleeddamage for the first time he will agro you and come to attack you drawing him away from the group. If he is a tougher opponent (i.e more than a few good hits), use suppression fire and continue to move out of his range until the bleed has almost killed him and you can move in and finish the job with a headshot. If he is a weaker opponent simply use headshot as soon as he enters you range until he is dead.
5) Repeat as necessary.
Using this tactic you very rarely have to fight more than one npc at a time and should be able to handle most npc camps. Same tactic can be used against tough creature mobs, simply replace supression fire with warning shot. This works great against snorbals, nym bases and merc camps.
Hope this helps!
Thanks for the help all, I really appreciate.
So we have to use the samebleed, pull, warning and suppressionfire tactic what is used by all professions. That makes me sad.To be honest I was hoping totally new tactic using Riflemansso called hiding and concealing skillsbut guess I have to do it like this rest of you.
I have read that takecover and aoe attack works on most camp, I think Ill kill some banthas so I get my aoe attack so I can test it out. ![]()
Btw, I have 3 box in Sniping and 1 box on the rest ifanybody want to add some hints. ![]()
