ok, i just spent quite a bit to get a prenerf T21. It was at 800/1000 condition. I spent about an hour making the best possible weapon repair tool i could.(Im a master artisan) got one that had a functionality rating of 96.43, which is pretty **edit** good. so i figure ok, this is an awesome repair tool, and my weapon is still up there, so there should be little to no risk of it losing condition if i fix it now. so i go to repair it, and get the message "You fail to repair the item. The item falls apart." HOW THE HELL DID A WEAPON WITH 800/1000 CONDITION REPAIRED BY AN AWESOME REPAIR TOOL FALL APART!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(taking many deep breaths) sorry about all the caps, but im sure you guys can understand how upset i am right now, being that i just bought this thing today. I put in a ticket for it, and im just waiting to get the automated response that i know im going to get "we're sorry for the issue you are having, please file a /bug"

gee golly gosh, why didn't i think of that. I just hope that someone important reads this and has some pitty on me and finds a way to pick up the pieces of my T21 and put it back together. Wheres the super glue **edit** it!! someone craft me some superglue.

Interesting. Maybe it's intentional because they don't want pre-nerf T-21s to be used anymore.

oh yeah and on top of that, earlier today i fixed my other T21(you'll see why i bought a second one in a moment) and it dropped from 800 max condition to 540 in 1 repair!!!! so thats why i bought this other one, since i figured that one wouldn't be much good to me for long. its also pre-nerf, so maybe your on to something Mura, but it would be nice for them to warn us, cause they no **edit** well people are gonna be looking for pre nerf ones cause they are so much better. Though i think its not that and its something with how they increased decay, and messed it up. Please someone important respond to this and get me back my very expensive T21, or at the very very least restore the one i have left, items should not be losing 300 condition in 1 repair, and should not be falling apart if at 800/1000 and your using an awesome repair too.

Ouch! I feel for you I'm holding off on repairing my own prenerf T21's until we have some more Riflemen to confirm or deny this. Could be just a statistical fluke, an inevitable extremity, a systemic anamoly. If it IS a programmed disposition making old T21's nigh unrepairable . . . . then that's outrageous, not so much in concept as in that none of the Developers revealed as much. I could understand the desire to let the old T21's phase themselves out, but to allow so many auctions and scrambling for the older models while quiet in their knowledge of their impending failures . . . well, that would be unconscionably cruel. But this could still just be an unlucky coincidence. A very, very unlucky coincidence. You have my condolences

thanx krups. yeah like you said, i can understand if that is how the old T21's will be phased out, but they know that people are gonna be trying desperately to get the pre nerf ones cause they are effective, where as the new ones...well i'd rather pick up a stick and run around saying "bang bang" they should have said something if that is the case. I am still holding on to the slim hope that its just a bug having to do with something they messed up when they increased decay rates, and the even slimmer hope that someone important will read this, and the even slimmer hope that i will get my T21 back.

Well I'm certainly gonna hold off on repairing mine then. I feel for you, that's awful. Mine's at 772/1000 right now and I really pay attention to not use it on stupid things like shooting lairs, use the laser rifle for that.

This is NOT affecting only T21s...

As it is now, weapon repair kits are as good as worthless. I bought one with 89% rating just to fix my e11, but it's a good thing I tried it on other weapons before. First try of that kit (89%) the weapon I tried to repair went from 700/1000 to 525/650. How interesting, not only it was a "moderate success" but the mac condition went way down, and the CURRENT condition went down as well... So I thought "ok this deserves another try" and the second weapon I tried to repair went from 888/1000 to completely broken. When I saw that, I said to myself "@%$ this" I will just wait until my e11 is close to falling apart before attempting a repair. Sure enough, two days later I attempted a repair on my e11 at 240/1000 using that kit and it broke...

As you can see, the weapon repair kits are completely messed up, especially when you consider the first example I gave...

Are the weapons sliced? I have heard that sliced weapons fall apart once you repair them. Since they have been "tampered" with.

All repair kits are not working as they should. You can be a master armoursmith and fail at repairing something at 15000/16000. I have destroyed 5 different guns, most of which were above 500 condition. I've given up repairing guns for now, it is simply tooeasy to fail and destroy your gun.

Well, if it's not 100% effective, you have to assume there's some possibility of failure (although it sounds like it is really high). In any case though, you should be prepared to lose your weapon when trying to repair, because it is a possibility.

Just a side note: the other day I repaired 3 weapons without problem with a 40% effective tool. One of them was a laser rifle.

I have never spoken or talked to anyone that was able to repair anything in this game. Ever. Period.

In fact, there have been a few times I have asked Master Armorsmiths or Master Weaponsmiths to repair my equipment and they said no, because they didn't want me yelling at them when it broke, and they were sure it would break. Heh.

It does not depend on if the weapon is sliced. Last night I bought a repair kit with a high 90's rate. I did repair my sliced spray stick with fairly good results (small drop in condition from a 504 condition). Then tried to repair a nonsliced e11 rifle. It had a condition of 806 or so, and it fell apart.
