Last night I was thinking I would try hunting a Fambaa. Since I was new to Naboo, I wanted to try something challenging. I lead off with /aim; /mindshot2; /mindshot1; /stand; /headshot3.

The first 2 shots go off, and the fambaa (with his friend) come running at me. I run to the side and try to move in a circle, and get my third shot off. Within 10 seconds they incap. me. That's fine, but I figure that'll give the fambaa time to bleed. I'm sitting there for 90 seconds with him less than 64m from me and he isn't bleeding. I check the Combat chat and it says that all 3 shots hit the first for 1064, the second for 432, and the last for 1594. Has anyone else seen this, or was this something unique to me?

Thanks,

One other thing: Bleeds like all other shots that do some kind of status change (dizzy, stun, bleed, etc.)do not always work even when you hit the target. On more than one occasion, I have had to hit a bleed a second time because it did not take, and this has been on a variety of targets, not just Fambaas. However, if you are using two bleed shots as you are, this is not always going to be apparent because you only get one bleed status icon no matter how many different bleed specials you hit with. Thus, it may just be that you were unfortunate enough to have had both bleeds not take effect this time where other times at least one of the two did work, so you got the bleed indicator.

Anyway, that is my 2 credits worth.

I can tell you for certain that Fambaas can be bled. Here is one aggravating, but actually humorous, incident that happened to me.

I came across a group of Fambaas, and knowing they BAF, I shot one, hit peace, and ran with them chasing me trying to get the herd scattered enough to isolate one of them. It worked, but I did get incapped by one I could not shake. I got into position, making sure I had a clear path to the one I got isolated, and I fired Mindshot 2 and Mindshot 1, then hit him with a non-bleed shot so I would get credit for it. Well, the system decided to warp him on top of me, and before I had a chance to get up and unequip my rifle, I was incapped. That was frustrating, but as the Fambaa wandered back to the point I had shot him, I checked and the bleeds were working. So I figured I would just get up when the incap timer expired and move out of the autoresponse range so that I could safely watch it die.

Sure enough, the incap timer ticked down, and I stood up. I wobbled for a second, unable to move as normally happens with an incap recovery.Of course, the bleed timer chose that moment to tick down some more damage. Of course, this meant that we were now both standing in exactly the same positions we were before I got incapped. Of course, this meant I was in autoresponse range, and he aggroed on me. Of course, being in the same positions we were, he warped again. Of course, I had not had time to unequip my rifle or hit a stim yet, so of course, I got incapped again and, of course, Idied.

So I can tell you without a shadow of doubt, bleed shots definitely work on Fambaas, sometimes, too efficiently, in fact.
