Thread: Spraystick vs. Pistol-- A Riflemans Strategy
I don't know if many of you know this and I'm sure a lot of you are aware of the flaw by being a Rifleman can be.
First I would like to give a little bit of a background on Rifleman (even for those who can't buy T21's yet simply because their server doesn't carry them yet). Rifleman are not meant to get in the heat of battle since they are long ranged fighters. The farther away the Rifleman is tohis/her/its target the more likely he/she/it will be able to be more successful on dealing damage, increased accuracty, etc. Rifleman want to stay away from the battle but within enough range to support his group. The Rifleman IS a supporter profession. You can solo as a Rifleman but tactics are involved. But in a PvP you want your Rifleman buddies in the back.Remember Melee Fighters are a Rifleman's worst enemy. They will kick you ass *(bleeeep)*... ooops maybe that censor was a little too late, but anyway if Melee Fighters get in close to you you'd better start running.
Okay now the point of this post. Bounty Hunters and Pistoleers and such are so proud that they can knock you down. But they can only do it one time every 30 seconds. So... if you are in combat against someone with a Pistol make sure you have a Spraystick with it's speed sliced. Then use a power-up on it with +30% attack speed. This will make it very fast. Faster than the pistol from what I know. Then you will need 2 shots if done right. The 1st shot use FlurryShot 1 or FlurryShot 2. If a successful hit occurs that will make your target dizzy and vulnerable to falling down. Now if you have suppression fire use it as your 2nd shot and this will make your opponent to kneel or prone (assuming they are already either standing or kneeling). Now take out your T21 or Laser Rifle and wait for them to drop in a couple of seconds. If they don't fall down when you use suppression fire then they will fall down when they try to stand back up. This affect lasts longer than Knockdown. Now just finish them off and you win.
(NOTE: Some players are more resistant to suppression fire but try it anyway. I've done this 95% of the time and it's worked. I'm only a Rifleman with skills of 2-1-1-1 and I can take out an expert BH. Never tried a master BH but I will next time I run into one.)
I'll have to try this out sometime, it'll give me a reason to use my spraystick for something other then warning shot.
