Thread: Advice on how well TKA and riflemen mix
Hello fellow riflemen !
Having opened a second account, I am tempted to throw together a character mastering the 2 classes that interest me most : Rifleman and Tera Kasi.
The char would be Zabrak ( I cant imagine playing without equilibrium) and his template would be :
Tera kasi master
Master rifleman
Scout 4000
Medic 2000
I wondered if some of you could comment this template and give me some insights on how well this char would do in both PvE and PvP

Id drop that in a shot if i could find a skill tape that lets me use stims without requiring basic medic.. (if thats at all possible - anyone?)
Powerboost is useful as it doubles mind pool (as well as health and action) for 10 mins...and we all know mind is life to a rifleman. The new TKA defense mods should stack quite well with our new rifleman ones. Not really sure how it will do in PvP.. what with the new changes approaching and the fact ive not finished leveling my toon yet - so ive stayed away from PvP. I think it should work well though. Any vet TKM/RifleMasters with PvP experience got any comments.. id love to know as well..
Stun, blind, dizzy, intimidate all seem to prevent you from meditating. So if you're bleeding and hit with one of those then you're screwed without medic.
As for rifle/tka it's fabulous. Here's my advice: get a pair of fast VK's and a powerful laser rifle ASAP. Do a couple group sessions until you get to rifle 4.
After that get some nice kinetic armor, choose a ronto or such (doesn't swarm, watch out for bulls), fire mindshot 1 then switch to your vk, wait for it to charge, and the unarmed exp will melt away.
Having rifle1001 makes grinding up to TKA novice a dream and once I get TKA power 2 I'll be able to take a charging mob with unarmed combo 1 (does mind damage) that matches the bleeds perfectly.
I was thinking master rifle and 4:3:0:4 in TKA.. mostly for the defense mods and meditate.. with headhit for hand to hand emergencies.. i know without the powerline its slow and weak - but my rifle is always gonna be my main fighting tool.
Your combat exp is more useful as a Rifle speed investment. Trust me on that. I wasted 60k combat exp on TKA that would have cut 1/10 th off my rifle reload time.
Forget head hit, combo1 and 2 do mind damage. Power boost is supreme for riflemen. You'll love it. Firstaid during combat is not only useful it's mandatory when fighting bleed happy pistoleers.
The best use of TKA/rifle is for powerboosted mind (unless they nerf it), not having a 2.5x melee penalty, 24% melee toughness at novice, and dizzy/KD for those pistoleers that charge at you (suprise!).
TKA + MRM is one of the best pure combat rifleman based templates in my opinion. You'll only get better after the new bonuses to ranged+ meleedefence go in for TKA and riflemen.
If you're short of points you can probley drop the scout to 3000, I think you still gain the full amount of movement bonuses from that.
