I usualy use a 30% dmg sliced t21 for the powerful one shot kill on most mobs. When I went squill hunting with a large group last night I was like the only one actualy doing damage. Out of a group of ten there was only one apprentice rifleman and then me, but the mind pool was droping on the tuskens and squill faster then all the other. One Time I even got off a shot for 8367. While I can never win duels in PvP I think rifleman rock in PvE and are pretty good in mass battles aswel.

I've been saying for a while now, in every big battle I've been to I've done amazingly well. This is without having T21s on my server.

yep, i agree 100% with seflyn. too bad he doesn't have T21's... they rip in PVP with master rifle. get a dmg slice and throw a 33% dmg /mind powerup on it. wooooot!

then pull out your jawa rifle with a dmg slice and the same powerup - take out full suits ofcomposite like they was neked.

nevermind you can steal every kill on the battlefield with ranged db, and take out any enemy except the most buffed with under 5 shots...

i've done a lot of one on one as well, i don't often lose. (i'm master rifle/master mark) - UNLESS the player is a BH and spams eyeshot (unless i'm on gold, in which case it just takes a bit longer to kill him - or if someone engages me in under 30m, they have a higher chance of winning, though it is not a definite kill for them (powered up spray stick).

PVE - heh, forget it. as master sharpshooter, i find i have to be "polite" to the other players in the group and just let my t21 or jawa rifle go on autofire, and i STILL do more dmg than most. /evilgrin hunting krayts or other big mobs - the T21 + Jawa takes all. if there's a lot to kill or you need stuff to drop fast, pop a muon gold and spam strafe2. heal your action/health once in a while.. enjoy

side note> i don't condone stealing all the kills with Snipershot. just saying if you CAN do this. be fair to your fellow overt's and share .... even if you did do90% of the damage to each enemy you fought.

I try not to steal DBs, but I'd rather snipershot someone who is health/action incapped by another player but is neartheenemy lines than have them healed up to full in a couple of seconds. I don't do it for the FP, those are easier to get in other places, I do it because it helps my side win the fight.

I know I enjoy killing people running in to try and DB a H or A incappedteammate and then healing myteammate up in 1 stim.

I find 1v1 against players who know what they're doing a lot harder than group combat againstthe sameplayers. Knockdown+ dizzy gets me most times solo.

Having said that the past few weeks I've been working on medic/doctor, so I've only really been using master rifle.

hehe, You and I think alike, Seflyn (humor me and assume that's a good thing. lol).

yeah, KD is the other nasty aside from eyeshot. i found our flurry/supress "KD" works against very few players as well, and doesn't seem to be worth the time or mind cost to attempt.

I agree, in medium to large scale battles (more than4 players on each side) rifleman do massive amounts of damage, as you've said. when we're not the sole opponent to focus on, that's where we shine.

i'm dropping master marksman for buffing/doctor skills as well (something new) so i'll be able to wear armor and have a higher mind without drugs. should be fun, i'm almost there. I think this will outweigh the benefits of master marksman substantially.

I hear ya - I started working my way up brawler to TKA..it'sa pretty different way to play i started brawler but i wasn't prepared to give up CH or Master Marksman for it at the time. hehe

anyways, i plan to get the revive skill as well, definitely useful on those force witch/krayt hunts !

not to turn this into a doctor/skillset thread. but my template will be

master rifle, scout 3-0-0-1, doctor 0-4-4-0, ranged 4-0-0-3 (give or take a box here and there).

The doctor grind is going much easier than i thought. mainly because i have access to guild resourcesi guess,as well as my own stockpile of harvested warez. the best thing for that grind is someone willing to stand in front of you spamming 'roll to stand' while you stim them. lol

sorry for the off-topic there...

I disagree that rifleman aren't good in pvp. I'm only 1-0-0-0 in rifle tree but I can solo mountain squill if I play my cards right. And in groups I dont bother using auto fire, if my target is low on health or action when I start the attack I use overcharge, if its low on mind or I can take it myself I use hs2.

Hehe that's exactly what I'm doing / did. The extra speed at master marksman is very nice but it doesn't come close to the advantages of composite + 1.5 - 2.5k health / action. Plus I'm going for res so I'm more group friendly.

I tried TKA and while it felt very powerful I'm just not a tank person, it just feels wrong for me to be running towards my enemy.

What was the Skill shot that you used to get 8367 damage even with strafe 2 I have only hit upwards of 3k.
