Thread: Rifle's vs. Lairs / Camps
There are two common choices for this: One option is to use a gun that you don't use anymore because you got a bad slice on it, found a better one, don't like, whatever. The second option is to have a Weaponsmith make you a gun with emphasis on damage not HAM. This usaully includes a stock component that adds damage but make the HAM costs higher. IF you have a good friend that would make you one, you can get some more damage. But for most people it's nbot worth the effort and credits.
Other than that, I think the only weapon you should NOT use it the Jawa Ion. It's damage type is stun, and it won't damage the lair.
However, the important question would be: Are there any specials that do particular good damage to a lair? If I'm on a buff or spice anyway, why not change to my "lair" gun and then spam flushing2/HS2 or something else? Anyone know which of those do work and which won't? And if there are any specials that do more damage to lairs than the "normal" multiplier for them?
For the lairs, I usually equip an old laser rifle and stack a bunch of overcharge shots.
What rifle is generally prefered for firing on a campor lair in PVE? I'm curious if there's anyone that has particularly good damage in this situation.
Similarly, has anyone had a problem with GCW camps respawning if you get outside of about 70m of them? I've been cleaning out stormtrooper camps all weekend, and everytime I hit about 70- 80m from the camp all the troopers respawn. It's proven to be good xp, but can be really annoying if your doing it for the credits / honor of the rebellion.

I have noticed the same respawning (and even "healing") effect on Faamba lairs. If I bleed and run, and the critter retreats after pursuit beyond my visible range, then when I get there, the creature is either gone and replaced with a new one or completely healed.

Speed sliced gun on my master, **edit** I had so many of those worthless things.
On my newbie I've fallen in love with overcharge shot and a spraystick. TBH it takes so long to kill 64k HAMlairs before you hit a few of those speed boxes I normally get bored and stick a AT-ST on it.
