Thread: Flurry Shot=knockdown?

I started the game with the intention of being a rifleman made it up a couple skillz above novice rifleman before I decided to switch to the pistol with its speed and knockdown abilities. Recently some very very nice laser rifles became available on my server 446 max damage after slice and trying those amount is making me rethink my descision to leave rifleman. My question is does flurry shot which i've never tried result in a knockdown of multiple opponents? Also whats is this AOE i keep seeing mentioned?

it's is in no way = knockdown, it's no where near as reliable.

Flurry Shot+Suppression Fire (as said above) Is an awesome combo. I can win duels vs pistoleers with it, or any brawler. With a spraystick, it is completely reliable. You just keep using flurry till it hits, then hit suppression fire so they kneel, then once they get back up to run after you, they'll fall down. Once they fall down, whip out the laser or T21 then go prone and do some headshots and there ya go! One dead whatever for ya.

Can this be done with Flurry Shot 1?


Or do you need Flurry Shot 2?

A look at carbineer forum eariler mentioned a possible nerf about both knockdown and supression fire though getting a 30 second timer. If that happens and is true, kiss the one means rifleman had at keeping range goodbye.

Its only a knockdown if the enemy you shot changes position. So flurry shot+suppresion fire=knockdown. Also the knockdown can last anywhere from 10-60 seconds. Ive seen it last very very long on people without defense vs dizzy.

It can be done with Flurry1.


Flurry1 = Dizzy one target


Flurry2 = Dizzy multiple targets in cone.

This is inaccurate. A nerf to KD/position change actually makes dizzy more valuable, since you only need to apply dizzy once and have them change position once for them to stay down for a significant amount of time.
