Hello, soon to be fellow riflemen.

I am a armorsmith/tailor, and have decided to pick up some riflemen skills with the extra experience points that I have. The only problem is, in order to get the most use out of my points, I can only advance three skills up a certain stack after achieving novice rifleman. I was thinking of going for sniping, but counter sniping sounds good also. I nkow this will not be nearly as effective as a master, or one with more skills, but I want to have some fighting ability. I have read the FAQ, and am still not sure which one to choose, since I have not found one that directly addresses an issue like this. I seek your opinions.

Thanks for your help,
Marsh

How many Skillpoints will you have left after taking up Novice Rifleman?

Also are you hoping to do a bit of PVP with the skills or just help out Hunting / Group Hunting?

I think I will have 12 skills points, whatever it takes to get three sucessive skills boxes

I am hoping to do a little bit of PvP, although I know that I will most likely get slaughtered half of the time, because of not getting the attribute bonuses.

Thanks for your quikc reply

Hmmm.. Tough Call that one.. You would probably not be very effective in PVP and may get ganked pretty quick but being an Armorsmith you could probably make yourself some very nice Armor so ya never know. If it were me I'd be tempted to either go -

3 0 0 0 - for Mindshot ( not fantastic ) and HeadShot3, with this you wont be very fast but you will be fairly accurate depending on your range and weapon. At least you could probably pick off people with Low mind in PVP.. heh! . But you wouldn't be helping much in PVE unless you are grouping with other people who can attack the mind pool.

or

0 0 0 3 - This would be decent for Group Hunts, you get an Area Attack with a dizzy effect & a bit of speed and Melee Defence. not much in the way of accuracy though so you might miss a fair bit. Get a rifle with ahigh Accuracy Mod.

Personally it makes me Eeek just thinking about either, heh! but those would probably be my choices in your Position.

0 0 3 0 may be an option as well but I'd go 0 0 0 3 Because of the Speed and Melee defence.

Okay, thanks for the input. I wasgoing to go 3000, but I think I will do this instead, because of the mentioned bonuses..

You are right, I will get destroyed in PvP quickly, but I hope to last a little while with some armor and skill mods in clothing.

Thanks!
