Thread: RIFLEMAN HALL, SERVER AND PLANET VOTE

I like the idea, but there is one bigissue: money. The building will cost money to purchase and maintain, and with most people being on that server with starter toons just to participate, most people will not be able to contribute to the costs. Therefore, whoever plants thebuildingwould need to besomeone who already has an established character (either a primary or alternate) and who has a steady income. There should also be some contingencies to pass the Hall along to someone else should that person decide to leave the game.
TC would probably be a good place for it as we would all have an opportunity to check on changes then discuss them there before they go live. But having a player on TC with an established, steady income would probably be tough, and it would probably be harder to do impromptu gatherings since that server would be less stable. So the server should be more based on who would be willing to use their lots and money to putup and maintain the hall.
As far as planets go, Lok and the other advanced planets should be out as most people's starter toonsprobably would not surviive long enough to get there. LoL So, Naboo or Talus would be my preference. Corellia would work, but that tends to be the most heavily populated, and therefore, laggiest planet.

i never voted here so here is my vote...
Server: Kettemor... TC would be ideal if they had toon clone, but from personal experiance on TC its buggy, and i had a hard time getting it to work for me, plus its takes a whole different set of downloads to run... i'd like to see the Hall readily accessable to all without alot of extra hassle...
Planet: Tat... Tuscans and Krayts, walking out of a sandstorm alone to make it back home... thats what the picture of a Rifleman is to me...

... also these will not be our main toons, so no need to ReMaster Rifles, just come as you are...I vote TC. If the developers play this game at all it's on the TC and that way they can see us in our perfesional appearance(Wayne in a dancer's leotard dancing luridly, and the riflenomican all over th PA hall walls:smileyhappy
Also with TC we get to try out all the new crap before they slap us in the nuts with it on live servers.

As for decorating and such I'm pretty good at it and don't mind wasting time getting money or maybe even architect to do it. (outside of decorating and running "my" town my main doesn't have that much anyway) You don't have to spend a lot of time on this character it would just be a new alt made exclusively for discussing topics and just BS'ing with other riflemen from across the galaxy. If we want to test some things then a few people may be prompted to master some profs (pistoleer, carbineer, TKA, a few hybrids) but nothing enforced. Now I"m just rambling huh? Heh, well here are my votes:
I proposed the player city idea and feel it would be helpful for people with established characters to reach the hall with little hassle shuttles allowing. I know of a few nice spots but don't know if Kette has a city established there but we can always just wander around for a good looking one to join.I'm gonna have to go with Kettermore, but I'm a Tat girl myself so I vote Tat.
Also not in a player city, find somewhere we can drop the hall (I prefer Tat guild halls) out in the middle of nowhere like in the corner of the planet or something. We're not using these alts to actually fight on kettermore so all we gotta do is run them out there the first time then keep them logged out there.
As far as cost, well someone on kettermore would have to suck that up. If you were all coming to flurry I'd gladly hand one of your alts the deed to a Tat PA and pay the maint on it. But it sounds like everybody else wants to go to kettermore or TC so no need to throw another server in the mix, I'm sure everybody would want it on thier home server
Also whoever does sponsor it is gonna have to give me a few cloths... newb cloths don't cut it any more...
... anyways we could just run around coronet yelling "alms for the poor" (i see someone doing this on radiant, it seems to work)...Well if it is a live server I can transfer credits from bloodfin to whichever it is I'm sure. I can easily spare enough for the hall and it's decorations and probably a few weeks of maintenance and give my char some nice threads. Plus you can make a bunch off of those new themepark loots. Grab 200 fp and get a TIE suit, that endor painting, the twi'lek portrait and there you go. Pretty rich with just a few hours of work. Then you just need to transfer the money to someone else, reroll the character and you can do all that again for yourself
Really money is the least of the worries for this. It's just being able to get it started and chose everything without pissing a lot of people off and actually getting people to come here for discussions without itdegenerating intoa flame fest or anything.
