This would be a combat-only class combo for sure, but you can pick up Master Marksman, Master Pistoleer and Master Rifleman, and still have enough skill points over to have the whole Scout terrain navigation line.

Besides being able todeal killer damage at both long and short range, someone with this combo would have +48 ranged defense and +27 melee defense.

You also use action for pistol, mind for rifle, so if you got low in one area you could switch to the other and still be useful.

Maybe if I get bored after Master Ranger I'll go for this. Still having too much fun fighting to start crafting anything.

Or if you were hardcore and skipped scout you could apply 41 points to Carbineer. If you did I'd suggest getting advanced counterinsurgency tactics. That way your defense vs. knockdown combined with pistol would be +45.

Someone with all skills in these areas would be hella tough, unless I'm overlooking anything?

If you were Master Pistoleer, I don't see why you'd bother to get Master Rifleman too... seems like the skill points could be better spent elsewhere. But that's me, I prefer a diverse character skill set

Not that good of an idea, Pistols are losing there KD.

Master Carbine+Master Rifleman now thats a class. AE dizzy, and AE knockdown in one. AE bleeds, and then AE damage. If I ever switch servers, this is what I would roll. I would do carbien first, (faster at novice) And when I get a ways into Carbine, I would switch and do rifle at first, then carbine when it gets close.

Personally I don't think carbine is worth mastering - the only good attack IMO that rifle wouldn't be able to cover is the AE bleed, and IIRC that comes at novice carbineer. Master marksman, definitely. I'd consider getting PW if I was going pure range, just for something to deal with auto-porting melee pets in PvP (I'mcurrently master rifle/marksman/SL). Defense bonuses don't seem to do much, really. I get all the rifle bonuses plus the SL group bonuses, and I don't see a big difference. The best defensive mix in any case seems to be master TKA/brawler/fencer with both defense lines of sword/pike, which is what I was thinking I would try if I ever rerolled. And hope they fix melee...
