Thread: Just got master rifleman today
Man is this fun!!!!!!!!!!
(Initially was TK but made the switch to riflewhen they nerfed knockown. At the timeIwas upsetbutnow am gladcuzI realized tankingisn't fun [just my personal preference].)
Anyway, thanks to all my peeps on Endor for hunting with me (and especially Nug and Aiwa), and to the innumerablemereks, snorbals, and banthaswho gave their lives for the greater good.
See y'all in game...

congrats, pimp-dy! when you're a master pimp, thenyou can work it withBishop Don Juan. i'm on intrepid too and STRUGGLING thru the boxes. any advice on advancement routes or good places or people to hunt with? i spend most of my time sniping what few mountain worrts i can on tatooine. i'd love to hunt with any of your friends that now need a rifleman in their midst. my in-game name is the same as my signature.

I'm not sure exactly when they nerfed TK soyou would virtually incapacitate yourselfeverytime you hit KD, was it 2 weeks ago or something?Since you ask what worked for me going up rifleman, Ispent a few minutes thinking about itand I can see thatthe key to advancing (relatively quicklyI suppose) for me were two main things:
A) **MOST IMPORTANT AND CRITICAL FACTOR*** I am unemployed and played all day (thisprobablyisn't particularly healthy over the long term something is telling me), and
B) I experimented aroundbut also had some good advice from others on how/ what to hunt
I can tell you what worked for me maywhich may not work for your style of playing: First, I did a mixture of solo and group hunting. Frankly sitting around killing 4 male snorbals at the same time can give you good xp, but doing the same thing over and over gets boring real quick (although I still did that alot, don't get me wrong).
I guess my #1 recommendation (which may or may not be obvious) if you are hunting solo is make sure you group with a pet or whatever to get the xp bonus. When I was first starting out I'd get 2500 xp for a bantha matriarch, and 3200xp for the same bantha matriarch just for having my pet cupa Bob keep me company. I also likedBob because he was pretty small and didn't get in my way too much. Also, Igot a 5% xp bonus for being human. I guess allthese bonuses add up over the long term. Also in the beginning I was fond of feral banthas cuz they dropped in like 1 or 2 shots. How great is that? Especially compared to whenI first started out hunting gorg and womprat city's (shouldn't that be city womprat? But I digress.) My best time was when I found 2 feral bantha lairs next to each other and milked them both for like 40k - really good for someone just starting up the rifle tree I thought.
When I got bored with Tatooine, Iexplored around (which also worked with my ranger character concept)and tried different creatures: snorbals, tortors, maimens (monkeys) on yavin. But of all theplaces I visited, my very favorite for hunting at least, and where I got the majority of my xp (avg 600k/ day)was Endor and I spent the lastcouple daysbefore reaching master hunting there. Endor is great fun, but you have to be careful cuz you've got amultitude of weird stuff there that would like to kill you. Like Pubams, those little turd looking dudes who 15 BH's can shoot for 15 minutes and will just sit there and laugh at you like he's the terminator on crack. The first couple days I learnedwhat was and wasn't good to hunt either in a group and solo. Some of it I learned by asking others, the rest I just tried like...I wonder if this swirl prong pack will BAF if I shoot one of them?? (they do). My #1 favorite thing to hunt on Endor are definitely Mereks, but you need a large group to pull this off.
Solowise, I'veseen several different ways ofdoing Endor, myway was just to stick to things like singleaggravated bodoks which gave me 4900-5100 xp each (I wouldn't do this until your rifle speed has gone up a bit). They run quite abitfaster than snorbals and stuff so you have use supp fire and ws alot..Doing a group (which is more fun and gives better xp I've found) works best if you find abunch of smarthunters whodon't havea death wish and do things like randomly shooting at merek lairs (Note: This type of group is very RARE I've found) but if you do, you can do really well for yourself. I would typically get much more xp in a group on Endor than solo.
I don't know if any of this helped at all, but it's what worked for me. See you in game, and if you have anyother questions, send me a telland I'll try to help.
