I'm working my way up the rifle tree and will hopefully have rifle specialist tonight. I have been using the sg82 rifle, but i was wondering if i should switch to an e11 or a jawa rifle when i get the next skill. also whats a good rifle for up close for that wonderful warping bug. possibly a spray stick?

Depending on what's available on your server, I'd go with either an Laser Rifle (Headshot 2) then Switch to E11 (Headshot 1), or a straight E11. With the Laser Rifle/E11 switch I can get 4 shots in (HS2 + 3 HS1's) before the creature is on me. Most of the creatures you'll be killing you will be able to 1shot kill with the Laser Rifle (with a good hit).

The spary stick is mostly for when you're in a group - you'll be using that and not using your special attacks.

Never used an SG82 (honestly, I've never seen one) and the only jawa rifles I've seen are dropped ones that have sub-par stats.

No rifle is good up close. The damage multiplier makes it suicide to hold a rifle. However, if you HAVE to have one, the spraystick's speed is your best bet to get a warning shot off before you're smushed into pate... however, even the spraystick's not fast ENOUGH to prevent massive injuries. You'd be better off dropping that rifle entirely in that situation and switching to some melee or dropping the rifle and hiking up your proverbial skirts and dashing for the hills.
