I just got Headshot 3 today, so forgive me if this has been asked and answered before, the forum search feature wasn't very helpful...

I noticed when using Headshot 2, I would see one number in the chat box (ex: 1000) and a different, larger number float up from the targets head (ex: 1700). However, when using Headshot 3 the number in the chat box is the same as the number floating up from the targets head.

I guess the question is, am I doing more damage with Headshot 2 than I'm supposed to be or less damage with Headshot 3?

Well... Errrrm... It looks like I was just too far away to make out the numbers accurately the first time I took HS3 out for a spin...

Nevermind...

you were attacking different animals. One of them had armor, the other did not.

The reason the higher number floated on animal A, was because it had no armor.

The reason the number was the same on animal B, was becuase it ahd at least some armor.
