Laser rifles vs E11 rifle

How many here would go with the E11 rifle? Its higher up in the skill tree, but I havent seen much that hint at the E11 being better than the laser rifle (might be my server lacking the right resources). The only thing I've seen is the E11 having a higher minimum damage (and a LOT lower maximum damage). They have the same mediumarmor-penetration.But I believe that the laser riflesdamage capability more than makes up for the damage minimum. Sure you get a headshot for 100 points of damage, but itsmore thanmade up by the 1900 point hit that follows, this weighs heavier than the minimum damage of themore advanced rifle I believe.

So does anyone have anything to say in defence of the E11 ? Or is it a fact that a rifle 2 skills below is better than the one above?

I think it is just where you are in relation to good weaponsmiths. I personally have both a laser rifle and an e11 rifle and use both. Though I don't have the spcific numbers with me at the moment, i use the laser rifle because of it's higher damage and the e11 for faster speed (5 i think). the way I use them is headshot2 with the laser rifle then switch to the e11 so i don't have to wait, and if the situation calls for it i go back to the first again. Try going to another planet or searching for a weapon vendor, many good weaponsmiths sell from vendors rather than the bazaar.

I have just about every rifle made. I always use the T21 or Laser for Mindshots, then switch to something faster for suppression fire. The 'something faster' is either a Spraystick or an E11. I prefer the Spraystick because it is so friggin fast (Mine is 2.2 speed before any rifle speed bonuses).

Iactually use the E11 to preserve the health of my spraystick and Laser! When I just need to stand there and blast something (such as an empty nest) into oblivion, I use my E11. No wear and tear on my other rifles. Sometimes I will use it for Suppression or kiting.

Use ALL your rifles... each one has some situation it is best in.

Like was said previously, it depends on the quality available to you. On Kettemoor my E11 is my ultimate rifle, because the crafter (StarSmith) built it to good speed and VERY low mind cost (!!!)

Now I use my laser rifle just to prolong the E11's life, though that's partly because the laser rifle is an antique with mediocre stats.
