For one, I agree with your cause. I think rifleman needs fine tuning, as in any class.

Please do not go about this by attacking other classes.

TKA's have a mind attack, but can only do it from a very short distance.

Bounty Hunters have a mind attack, but they must spend a ton of time and skill points to achieve it.

Finally, you are still the KING of PVP. The difference between a BH and a Rifleman is that the Rifleman does the damage FIRST. A Master Rifleman with a good T21 will 1 shot anyone.

Hmm... sorry to disagree, but I don't think that riflemen can one-shot anyone ever since the 75% reduction. In fact, I've heard of T21 users doing more damage to their own mind than the enemy's!

Riflemen, at least non-master riflemen, are mince-meat in PvP. Because of the faster fire rate of pistols and carbines, riflemen, even if they're medics, can't heal themselves asquickly as other combat professions. BH's can eye-shot and heal their action bars, allowing them to do more eye shots. Riflemen, well... he he, we all know what riflemen do once their mind runs out...

Riflemen also have to spend tons of time achieving their abilities. Since riflemen do mind damage, they often times have to solo or face getting 1/2 the XP that pistoleers and carbineers do. After a rifleman's mind is depleated, they must sit and wait for their mind to regen, whereas any other combat profession can just use a stim and go along their merry way to getting more xp.

On top of that, rifle speed is gained by combat XP, which we all know can take a long time, and is necessary for riflemen to fire at the rate that most other combat professions do.

Besides, most riflemen have to get CH to compete at the level BH's do. So no, to get at an even battle level, BH's do NOT put more time into becoming a viable BH.

I would write more, but I have to go to work now... any other riflemen want to pick up where I left off?

Thats right we're the kings of PvP thats why my win percentage is .5% True I am a low level rifleman, but when a pistoleer that just hit novice can kill me I think that something is wrong and it isn't just me.

Lets do some math shall we.....

I have a laser (cause most servers still done have t-21's or lat least mine) and a BH wants to fight, I agree, supoose I do manage to get the first shot off before I'm hit with knock downs and eye shots..... I do 15/360 damage, well thats against a monster, so in PvP I will do -%75 of 15 = 3.75 damage to the BH lets say I shot with head shot 3 so we multiply that times 3 that equals 11.25.... lets say I manage to hit at top range 360 -%75=90 ok so thats decent? so we do head shot with this and we hit for 270, MIRICLE, BUT WAIT we miss 75% of the time so well were dead, lay down and get whooped on.

This is why I avoid PvP less I jsut feel like havingf fun witha group, this is the only time I do group!

Same math for the Commando's

1500 well say ( I know its low for a commando's range but I hate math) - 75% = 375 = get your ass handed to you in 3 shots....

I strongly disagree that we are the kings of PvP with these heavy weapons flying around. However, we are far from gimped. At the Master level anyways.

And I don't think Aldeon was "attacking" BHs. Just pointing out the facts. BHs can also do mind damage and can just heal back the pool they use to do it. This is suppose to be our big advantage and we aren't even the best at dealing mind damage. As for BHs using more points I still don't understand that argument. Master Scout for one has nothing to do with combat. Also doesn't take that long to get. And they only need 2 BH pistol boxes for eye shot...I shouldn't be sitting at Master worrying about a novice BH with 2 boxes of pistol coming up and popping me at max range.

And don't forget that eye shot does blind, which makes our wonderful accuracy even worse...

Do the riflemen get a skill like this, esspecially since we're the ones that SPECIALIZE in headshots?

How is it that a bounty hunter aiming at someone's EYE is more accurate thana riflemanaiming at someone's whole HEAD?

Local the Bh's have been giving rifleman a bad name. You Bh's can spam eyeshot over and over again using healable action points. We can not. We are on the verge of getting nerfed because of BH's and your eyeshot.

The dev's seem to be listening to the masses again, and we will pay for the BH's eyeshot damage. But no worries with CM's diseasing peoples mind we will be blamed for it also. So as we get nerfed into oblivion you can thank you fellow BH's for it along with every other class that does our so called only "adavantage" and hits mind.

I also notice that many BH talk about the 217 points that they must spendas a reason why they shouldget the mind attack. Well, you dont have to go to master BH to get the mind attack. It only costs 169 to get BH pistel II. (174 at BH IV), This gives you 76 points to ues with whatever you want. And you get +110 to accuracy +80 to speed. It also does not take that much time to get there, Just master scout and marksmen along with 400k more pistel exp [Pistel II].(1.2 million for BH Pistel IV)

Compare this vs a master pisteleer with 116 points(with scout/explor III, which while not required issomewhat necessary for a decent combat player) And the pisteleer only gets +74 to speed and +90 to accuracy.

Also, at this point, the BH only needs to pay 6 more skill points to increase his pistel skills, the pistelleer needs more than 100 to get ANY increases in his pistel skills.

Oh well, just another case of an idiot BH trying to say he deserves to do mind damage better than a rifleman because of all the skill points he used. Fatal, please stay away from our forums, kthx.

Wrong. Take two players. Both take Master Marksman, Master Scout. One goes BH, one goes Rifleman. Why is the BH the better long range mind damage dealer ? Thats bull. Thanks to the 2.5x damage multiplier that forces me to use a pistol when enemies are close, I even capped out on pistol XP before I hit novice rifleman. And guess what ? I will invest it in BH Pistol II. My Character is not a BH, never wanted to be one. But taking BH pistol II is the best way to be a long range mind damage dealer ( aka sniper ). Sad, isn't it ?

I have 250 Skillpoints. And I spent the same time as you. Why should you be stronger in every situation ? I get the impression PvP and the Galactic War is fought by a horde of mercenaries that are loyal only to one cause: their personal gain ( BH definition ). How pathetic. Where are the soldiers ? Where are the imperial troopers and the idealist rebells ? All turned BH ? For sure, if BHs claim they are the class that should own anyone, why be a soldier when another class is the better killer ?

I really wish the people who do not play rifleman not comment on this. They do not know what they are talking about. Here is the problem simplified

1.) We fire at a much slower rate than almost all classes.

2.) Our "Elite Weapon" the T21is not only less powerful than the laser rifle. It does more damage to us than it does to our enemy.

3.)We suffer from a 2.5 multiplier against melee.......... I was one shot last night for 1080 Dmg by a blue mob last night that I only get 59 XP off of (was so pissed I went back and killed him and his family) I am not joking about this either.

4.) Are totally inaccurate missing more than we hit.

-We have almost 0 chance hitting the broad side of a star destroyer from inside 50m

-At optimal range we might have a 40 - 60% chance of hitting the broadside of the same star destroyer.

5.) Get much less XP than other players grouped, meaning we have to solo......... with all these bugs just to get decent XP with lots of fun sitting waiting for mind to regen compounded by stutter step, us warping when going prone, and my all time favorite getting may butt kicked by a mob that was 60m out one second and intstantly was on top of me = 1 screwed rifleman.

6.) Ham Costs on most weapons are much higher than the equivalant for other classes.

If you tell me that there are any classes that have as much stacked against them.......... please list them like I have just listed riflemans.

Until you play the same game we do.......... you should keep your mouth shut.

Agree with most things stated above.

I am lucky enough to be able to group with two other people that I know from RL to form a rifleman only group for decent xp. But if neither of them is on, I have no chance in forming a group like that. Hell it took me three days of asking to find someone on Skyla that could train sniping accuracy 1. Now I am trying to find a trianer for sniping accuracy 2 so far no luck for three days and counitng. Riflemen are deffinitely a rare and possibly dying breed.
