What's your favorite PvP rifle (or combo of two rifles if you switch around during a fight)? Why?

Generally, I like to combine my big, bad T-21 with my Jawa Ion Rifle.

What's great about the Jawa is that it does decent damage (mine is 110-234), it has a very reasonable attack speed (mine is 4.2 after a slice), and it has some AP. It's Light, but that's enough for PvP, since all personal armor is Light, and as the devs said themselves in the armor guide, Stun Damage is the bane of most armor types. It's almost always listed as a vulnerability.

So I like to pump a few shots with that, usually a bleed or two and some normals. Then at the end I might switch out to the big T-21 to get those final few shots in.

The annoying thing is that against someone with NO armor, AP doesn't factor into the damage yet. That REALLY needs to be friggin' fixed. In that case, I stay with the Jawa Ion Rifle, or break out the E-11.

For me it really depends a lot of things: on your skill choice, HAM setup, armour use, if you're buffed, what weapons are good quality on your server, and all these things on your target.

For instance if you have a secondary mastercombat professionyou might not mind using a weapon that drains your HAM fast as you can whip our yourother weapon if you really need to, or as a doctor you might want to save your mind for healing your group.

For me if the target isn't wearing armour I use the DLT20a, if they are a laser, if I don't have time to see a Jawa (E11 if they were good on my server).

As much as I like the damage a good laser does, I hate the downtime afterwards.

I usually start with the T21 or laser rifle to get a big hit in (mind bleeds usually). Then I usually switch to a spraystick (occasionally jawa or other fast weapon). The damage from it isn't great but it allows me to heal myself and my group quickly since I'm also a doctor. For the healing, speed is everything.

Unless you're really high up in the trees, only using the T21 seems like suicide.

Hmm...I thought the jawa had no armor piercing. I'll have to take a look at mine again. Anyway, I wish some good e11 resources would spawn on ss, as i personally think that rifle has alot of potential. With crappy resources (properties of 150 and under) mine does like 75-160 or something, and is medium ar. THat just says 'potential' to me ^_^

I get whooped in pvp since I'm 0011, but I do switch off between a spraystick and a laser right now. If you want to heal yourself and you have a slow charging weapon, and I don't know if this works in pvp or not, but if you do /peace you can heal yourself right away. just don't forget to do /attack afterwards, like i do alot (just sit there wondering why i'm not shooting lol). Otherwise, with 600 focus, a stim b takes like 70 mind to use, which isn't bad at all.

What's the HAM on your Jawa rifle?

I use a DLT20a. It's not armor piercing, but it's funny.... since literally 99% of the population uses AP1 or higher weapons, most people don't bother wearing helmets anymore. Helmets do nothing but increase the cost of your specials. I can't even think of the last time I saw my armor deflect damage in PvP. Even all the pistoleers have AP1 weapons.

The HAM on my DLT20a is like 22 mind. Headshot3 only costs me 61 actual mind pool so with 950 mind I can pretty well spam it. (T21, by comparison, costs right around 160 mind and my Laser Rifle is right around 150 I believe.)

It sucks to kill someone and then only have200 mind pool left, so the DLT20a is a winner for me.

You'll just have to be ready to switch if you see them wearing a helmet.
